Pagani Brings Huayra 70 Derecho, Codalunga Speedster and Huayra R to Goodwood 2026

San Cesario sul Panaro: Pagani Automobili will unveil the Huayra 70 Derecho at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, presenting the bespoke hypercar as the second of three Huayra 70 creations developed to celebrate founder Horacio Pagani’s 70th birthday.

Created by Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni division, the Huayra 70 Derecho will make its world premiere alongside the Zonda F Roadster and Utopia Roadster at the Italian manufacturer’s stand throughout the event.

Pagani will also participate in Goodwood’s famous hill climb with the Huayra Codalunga Speedster and the track-focused Huayra R fitted with the optional Tempesta package. The combination should provide Goodwood’s spectators with both visual theatre and a soundtrack unlikely to be mistaken for the morning commute.

Inspired by a Powerful Weather Phenomenon

The name “Derecho” refers to a rare and powerful organised storm system capable of producing intense straight-line winds and sudden bursts of energy.

According to Pagani, the name reflects the car’s intended character: a force that moves continuously and precisely without deviating from its path.

The Huayra 70 Derecho features an exclusive Pearl Orange and Blue exterior finish designed to reveal Pagani’s fish-bone carbon-fibre weave.

A transparent Inky Blue finish is used across the lower sections and interior monocoque, while Pearl Orange covers the main bodywork. Under direct sunlight, the orange surface produces warm golden reflections intended to highlight the complexity of the underlying craftsmanship.

Bespoke solid-milled aluminium components are integrated into the bodywork and finished in Glossy Titanium. The same finish is applied to a newly developed set of Huayra 70 Titanium wheels.

Ceramic White and Tricolore Blue Interior

Inside, the Huayra 70 Derecho combines Ceramic White leather with Tricolore Blue leather and bespoke contrast stitching.

Pearl Orange details link the cabin with the exterior, including a 12 o’clock marker on the steering wheel and a similarly finished gear knob.

The detailed material and colour choices are intended to balance the car’s sporting character with the hand-crafted approach traditionally associated with Pagani’s limited-production models.

Horacio Pagani, Founder & Chief Designer, said:

“When work is guided by curiosity, passion, and a sense of beauty, the desire to constantly improve arises naturally. Our daily commitment is to dedicate the utmost attention to every single detail, striving to approach that essential harmony between form and function, intellect and craftsmanship, just as Leonardo da Vinci taught us. To be able to present the world premiere of the Pagani Huayra 70 Derecho at Goodwood is a privilege for us: an opportunity to share the fruits of this labor with those who share our same profound love for the automobile.”

Lorenzo Kerkoc, Head of Grandi Complicazioni, added:

“The configuration of this car stems from the encounter between aesthetic research and material innovation. Every design choice, from the materials to the finishes, has been studied to express an authentic synthesis of sportiness and elegance, where dynamism and refinement blend into a coherent and distinctive language.”

Pagani’s Goodwood Programme

Pagani’s appearance at Goodwood will combine static displays with dynamic hill-climb runs, illustrating different chapters of the company’s design and engineering philosophy.

The Zonda F Roadster represents an earlier era of the marque, while the Utopia Roadster reflects its current design direction. The Huayra Codalunga Speedster focuses on long-tail styling and open-air performance, while the Huayra R brings the rather less restrained character of a circuit-only machine.

At the centre of the programme, however, will be the Huayra 70 Derecho—a highly personalised creation that uses colour, exposed materials and hand-finished components to demonstrate how Pagani continues to position the automobile at the intersection of engineering and art.

Its Goodwood debut also underlines the festival’s continuing importance as a global stage for rare performance cars, where painstaking craftsmanship can be admired at close quarters before the engines provide a considerably louder explanation.
