e-Hub by MG Hits 150,000 Downloads, Lists 22,500 EV Chargers Across India

India’s electric vehicle ecosystem just received a serious digital boost — and thankfully, it doesn’t require carrying five different charging apps on your phone anymore.

e‑Hub by MG, the charging platform developed by JSW MG Motor India, has officially become India’s largest unified EV charging app, now listing more than 22,500 charging points across the country while crossing 150,000 downloads.

The app aggregates 40 leading charge point operators (CPOs) — including Jio-bp, Tata Power, Adani Group, Shell plc, Zeon Charging, ChargeZone and Bharat Petroleum — turning the app into a single digital hub for EV charging across India.

In simpler terms: instead of juggling multiple apps while your car’s battery is at 7%, EV owners now have one place to locate, book, and pay for charging. Your car might still need charging breaks, but your patience doesn’t.

New Features Make EV Travel Smarter

To make the EV journey smoother, MG has rolled out several new features within the app aimed at improving convenience for drivers planning long trips or quick charging stops.

Key additions include:

  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support for in-car navigation to chargers
  • Charger Reviews and Ratings from real users
  • Smart Trip Planner to optimise EV journeys
  • Nearby Amenities locator for cafes, restrooms, and other facilities while charging

These upgrades essentially turn the app into a digital co-pilot for EV road trips — helping drivers find not just a charger, but also a coffee while the car tops up.

Powering India’s Green Mobility Journey

Since its launch, the e-Hub by MG platform has already contributed significantly to India’s EV ecosystem.

Impact achieved so far:

  • 1.5 GWh of energy dispensed through the platform
  • 670,000+ green trips enabled
  • 300 million green kilometres planned

These numbers highlight the growing adoption of EVs and the increasing need for integrated charging infrastructure that works across brands and charging networks.

Building Confidence in EV Ownership

Commenting on the milestone, Vinay Raina, Chief Commercial Officer at JSW MG Motor India, said the company is encouraged by how both MG and non-MG EV users are embracing the platform.

He noted that the app helps drivers plan long journeys, locate chargers easily, and charge with confidence, while also bringing multiple charging networks onto a single intuitive interface.

One App, One Charge Network

As India accelerates towards electrification, interoperability and ease of access are becoming critical for EV adoption. Platforms like e-Hub by MG demonstrate how software and digital infrastructure can simplify EV ownership.

Because let’s face it — switching to an electric car should reduce emissions, not increase the number of apps on your phone.

With 22,500+ charging points and counting, the e-Hub by MG app is quickly becoming the digital backbone of India’s EV charging ecosystem — proving that sometimes, the smartest upgrade in mobility isn’t under the bonnet, but inside your smartphone.
