High Torque, Higher Sales: Sonalika Ploughs Past 53,000 Tractors in Just Four Months

New Delhi – While some companies talk about growth in terms of percentages, Sonalika prefers to measure it in horsepower and hectares. India’s No. 1 tractor export brand has once again shifted into high gear, clocking a record-breaking 53,772 overall tractor sales between April and July 2025 — enough tractors to start a small parade in every farming district of the country.

The milestone not only cements Sonalika’s position as a frontrunner in the domestic market, but also sets the tone for a festive season where the brand plans to gift-wrap horsepower and deliver it straight to the fields. With India’s largest channel partner network at its disposal, the company says it’s “fully prepared” to make sure no farmer has to wait for their perfect farm companion.

At the heart of this meteoric growth is Sonalika’s World No. 1 tractor plant — a facility so advanced that it rolls out a heavy-duty tractor every two minutes. The plant is practically a tractor buffet, producing everything from fuel-efficient engines to advanced hydraulics in-house, customised for the region-specific needs of India’s diverse farming community.

Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director, International Tractors Limited, summed up the momentum with trademark confidence: “Our heavy-duty tractors are built with a purpose — to empower farmers to keep moving ahead. Surpassing 50,000 sales in just four months is a reflection of our commitment, innovation, and the faith farmers place in us. With a promising monsoon, a bumper rabi harvest on the horizon, and the festive season approaching, we’re geared up — quite literally — to deliver maximum farmer satisfaction.”

With monsoon clouds still playing the role of generous investors and rabi crops promising healthy returns, Sonalika’s tractors are set to be the season’s hottest rural accessory. After all, in the world of farming, nothing says “festive spirit” quite like a brand-new machine ready to till, plough, and power prosperity.
