Bolt.Earth Sets Indian EV Scene Ablaze with Universal DC Charger for Two- and Three-Wheelers

Promises 25,000 chargers, 120 km in 15 mins, and a much-needed zap to India’s EV infrastructure

Bengaluru – In a move that might make your scooter blush and your auto-rickshaw hum with delight, Bolt.Earth has officially launched Blaze DC, India’s first-ever universal DC fast charger for electric two- and three-wheelers. That’s right—no more crawling to slow chargers or hunting for “your brand’s” sacred socket.

What’s the Buzz About?
Think of Blaze DC as the EV world’s version of a common language translator. Whether you ride an Ola, Ather, Hero, or a futuristic beast from Ultraviolette, Blaze DC says, “Plug in, pal.” Supporting Type 6 and LECCS Type 7 connectors, the charger doesn’t discriminate—it electrifies.

How Fast?
Try 120 km range in 15 minutes on the 12kW variant. That’s enough time to stretch, sip a chai, and swipe a reel, while your ride gets juiced up.

The Grand Plan:
Bolt.Earth wants to install 25,000 Blaze DC chargers in just one year. If that number sounds ambitious, that’s because it is. But with 80% of India’s EVs being two- or three-wheelers, it’s a plan that makes both economic and electric sense.

Built in India, for India (and its grid tantrums)
From overheating sockets to voltage dips that would make a seismograph nervous, India’s power grid can be a moody beast. Blaze DC has been built to handle that drama—with modular repairability, remote diagnostics, and enough intelligence to make your average toaster feel bad about itself.

What the Bigwigs Said:

“This is not just a product. It’s a leap toward an EV revolution tailored for everyday Indians—delivery agents, auto drivers, and gig workers who can’t afford to waste time or watts,” said Raghav Bharadwaj, CEO of Bolt.Earth.

And in a rare alignment of current and policy, Dr. Shiv Shankara N, MD of BESCOM, brought his wattage to the event:

“BESCOM is thrilled to support efforts like Blaze DC. Fast charging for two- and three-wheelers is the next frontier, and we’re committed to making land and policy work for it.”

Why It Matters:
India’s EV scene is booming faster than you can say “range anxiety.” With projections showing over 5 million e-scooters sold annually by 2027, Blaze DC might just be the backbone of a truly electrified India. Especially when paired with Bolt.Earth’s 37,000+ charging points and an app that does everything but make you tea.

The Mic Drop Moment:
Whether you’re a delivery rider dashing for the next order, an auto driver between airport trips, or a startup dreaming of EV utopia, Blaze DC promises one thing—less waiting, more vrooming.

Next Stop?
Watch out, Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Kerala, and Pune—Bolt.Earth is coming to a street corner near you. With a charger. And possibly a pun.
