Mumbai, September 2, 2024 – Škoda Auto India has officially unveiled the all-new Slavia Monte Carlo edition, celebrating the company’s 112-year legacy in motorsport, particularly its historic debut at the Rallye Monte Carlo. Alongside this sporty sedan, Škoda has introduced the Sportline variant across its popular Kushaq and Slavia models, enhancing customer options with a focus on sporty aesthetics.

Petr Janeba, Brand Director of Škoda Auto India, emphasized the strong emotional connection the Monte Carlo badge holds for customers. “This launch is part of our strategic vision to elevate the Škoda brand in India, a crucial market outside Europe. The Slavia Monte Carlo appeals to those desiring a unique and sporty aesthetic, celebrating our rich heritage,” he stated. The introduction of the new Sportline variants for both Kushaq and Slavia further signifies Škoda’s commitment to offering modern and stylish options that resonate with customer feedback.

As part of the launch celebration, Škoda is offering an attractive incentive of ₹30,000 for the first 5,000 bookings of the Slavia Monte Carlo and Sportline models, a limited-time offer valid until September 6, 2024.

A Closer Look at the Slavia Monte Carlo

The Slavia Monte Carlo features robust 1.0 and 1.5 TSI engines, with the latter delivering power through a seven-speed DSG transmission. It is available in striking Tornado Red and Candy White, complemented by a contrasting Deep Black roof. Design elements include blacked-out alloy wheels, darkened taillights, and distinctive Monte Carlo badging, all contributing to a bold and sporty exterior.

Inside, the car showcases a Monte Carlo Red Theme, with an all-black sporty cabin highlighted by red accents. The leatherette seats are adorned with red stitching, while the interior boasts a modern infotainment system and a driver’s virtual cockpit designed to enhance the sporty driving experience.

Expanding the Sportline Lineup

In response to customer demand, Škoda Auto India has introduced the Sportline variants for the Kushaq and Slavia, which incorporate sporty design elements reminiscent of the Monte Carlo edition. The Sportline trim features blacked-out design cues, R16 and R17 black alloy wheels, LED headlamps, and an array of safety features including six airbags as standard.

Škoda’s Kushaq and Slavia have both achieved a full five-star safety rating under Global NCAP standards, underscoring the brand’s commitment to safety alongside performance.

Celebrating a Motorsport Heritage

The Monte Carlo edition pays tribute to Škoda’s rich history in motorsport, beginning with its participation in the Rallye Monte Carlo in 1912. Over the years, Škoda has seen numerous victories at this iconic event, establishing a legacy that continues to inspire the brand’s modern offerings.

With the introduction of the Slavia Monte Carlo and the Sportline variants, Škoda Auto India is poised to further strengthen its presence in the Indian automotive market, catering to customers who seek both style and performance in their vehicles.
