2025 Terrain Delivers Enhanced Space, Safety, and Cutting-Edge Tech
DETROIT – GMC has unveiled the 2025 Terrain, marking a significant leap forward in the compact SUV segment. The latest iteration of the Terrain features a fresh design inspired by GMC’s rugged truck lineup and brings a host of new standard technologies, including advanced safety features and enhanced connectivity options.
Launching first in the Elevation trim, the 2025 Terrain aims to redefine the brand’s gateway model with a bold, new appearance and an array of premium features. Notably, the 2025 Terrain introduces GMC’s first-ever two-tone roof option, available in black or gray, allowing customers to personalize their vehicles with added flair.

Packed with Safety and Tech Features
The 2025 Terrain is equipped with more than 15 advanced safety and driver assistance features as standard. These include:

Inside, the Terrain is just as impressive. All trims come standard with a 15-inch-diagonal Premium GMC Infotainment System and an 11-inch-diagonal driver information center. Drivers can use Google Assistant to send messages, navigate, or control various vehicle functions, while new available camera views, including an optional rear camera mirror, enhance visibility and safety.
New Design Language with Truck-Inspired Stance
The 2025 Terrain sports a more planted and athletic stance, with a grille design that echoes GMC’s truck lineup. The new look is completed with available 17-inch wheels on the Elevation trim, offering a distinct, bold presence on the road.
The interior has been meticulously crafted to emphasize width and space, with chrome accents running along the cabin, complemented by available wireless chargers strategically placed for convenience.
Future Models: AT4 and Denali
In 2025, GMC will expand the Terrain lineup with the introduction of the 2026 AT4 and Denali trims. The AT4 will cater to off-road enthusiasts with exclusive features such as selectable Terrain Mode, a lifted ride height, and metal underbody protection. Meanwhile, the Denali will elevate luxury with heated seats, unique Smart Frequency Dampers, and available 20-inch wheels.
Performance and Powertrain
Every 2025 Terrain comes equipped with a 1.5L Turbocharged engine, delivering 175 horsepower and 203 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive and an 8-speed automatic transmission are standard on the Elevation trim, ensuring a balanced and responsive driving experience.
