Dacia Ramps Up the Game: New Power and Luxury with the Sandero Series Makeover

In a significant move that redefines versatility and power in the automotive world, Dacia has unveiled the latest enhancements to its acclaimed Sandero and Sandero Stepway models. This revamp introduces the highly anticipated Journey trim level and integrates the potent TCe 110 turbocharged petrol engine into select versions, marking a new era of choice and performance for the popular car series.

For those seeking an elevated driving experience, the Sandero Stepway Extreme now offers the option to harness the power of the TCe 110 engine. This turbocharged marvel generates an impressive 110 hp and 200 Nm of torque, achieving a commendable balance between robust performance and efficiency. Achieving up to 45.6 mpg (WLTP combined) and with CO2 emissions capped at 125 g/km, this engine not only promises exhilarating acceleration — zero to 62 mph in a swift 10 seconds — but also adheres to environmental standards with its Euro 6 compliance.

The introduction of the Journey trim level to the Sandero lineup brings a taste of luxury previously savored by Duster aficionados. This new specification level elevates the Sandero’s appeal with a suite of advanced features, including automatic air conditioning, rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, Blind Spot Warning, and the innovative MediaNav infotainment system, complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Notably, the Journey trim introduces the convenience of automatic transmission when paired with the TCe 90 engine, enhancing the driving experience with seamless gear transitions.

Exterior enhancements of the Journey trim are subtly sophisticated, featuring a shark-fin antenna, ‘Randia’ 16-inch alloy wheels, and black door mirrors. Inside, drivers and passengers alike will appreciate the elevated comfort and convenience offered by a high central armrest with console storage, removable phone support, and a flexible boot floor.

Priced competitively, the Sandero Journey starts at £15,795 on-the-road, while the adrenaline-pumping Sandero Stepway TCe 110 is available from £18,645 (INR 19.62 lakh). Both models, now compliant with the European Global Safety Regulation 2 (GSR2) from April production, are not only a testament to Dacia’s commitment to safety but also to its dedication to offering vehicles that meet the dynamic needs and preferences of today’s drivers.

Available for order from 3 April 2024, these latest offerings from Dacia affirm the brand’s reputation for delivering quality, affordability, and now, more power and luxury than ever before.
