Bangalore, 01 June 2024: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has marked a milestone in its robust performance by registering a significant 24% Year-on-Year growth in May 2024. The company reported sales of 25,273 units this May, up from 20,410 units in the same month last year. Domestic sales accounted for 23,959 units, with an additional 1,314 units exported. This achievement also reflects a 23% increase over April 2024, which saw sales of 20,494 units.
In the first five months of the calendar year 2024, TKM has seen a remarkable 48% surge, with total sales reaching 122,776 units, compared to 82,763 units during the same period in 2023.
Sabari Manohar, Vice President of Sales-Service-Used Car Business at Toyota Kirloskar Motor, commented on the strong performance, stating, “We continue to post double-digit growth in May 2024 with a 24% increase compared to the previous year. Our unwavering customer-centric approach has allowed us to stay ahead by understanding and meeting the diverse needs of our customers. We remain committed to enhancing customer satisfaction through expanded touchpoints and innovative value-added services.”
The introduction of the All-New Urban Cruiser Taisor highlights TKM’s dedication to addressing market demands. The new SUV, which comes in 1.0L Turbo, 1.2L Petrol, and E-CNG options, has received overwhelming customer feedback since its launch. Manohar added, “The Taisor reinforces Toyota’s legacy of delivering high-performance, fuel-efficient vehicles with striking designs. We invite customers to visit our showrooms and experience the new Urban Cruiser Taisor.”
TKM’s growth is further bolstered by the continued popularity of models like the Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross, Fortuner, Legender, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hilux, and LC300. Additionally, the strong sales of the Camry Hybrid, Glanza, Vellfire, and Rumion have significantly contributed to the company’s upward trajectory.
