MG Accelerates into a Stylish Future: Jozef Kaban Appointed as Vice President of Global Design

In a move signaling a bold leap into its next century of automotive excellence, MG has proudly announced the appointment of Jozef Kaban as the new Vice President of its Global Design Centre. With a resume that reads like the “who’s who” of automotive design, Kaban brings his renowned expertise to MG at a pivotal moment.

Kaban’s primary mission at MG will be to spearhead the development of the brand’s global design language. This strategic appointment coincides with a series of exciting milestones for MG, including its centennial celebrations and the much-anticipated launch of the Cyberster EV roadster later in 2024.

MG is also gearing up to unveil the EXE181 concept car at the upcoming Beijing motor show. This latest prototype pays homage to the historic EX181 that set a land-speed record in 1957, blending rich heritage with futuristic design cues.

A distinguished alumnus of the Royal Academy of Art in London, Kaban has shaped the aesthetics of several high-profile automotive brands, including BMW, Skoda, and Rolls-Royce. Notably, his design prowess was instrumental in creating the iconic Bugatti Veyron supercar. Kaban also made significant contributions to Audi as the chief exterior designer, where he worked on the acclaimed Audi A5 coupe.

As MG embarks on its second century with renewed vigor, Kaban’s visionary leadership is expected to drive the brand forward, setting new benchmarks in design and innovation. MG enthusiasts and the automotive world at large eagerly await the transformative designs that will emerge from Kaban’s creative helm.
