Škoda Auto India Rolls Out “Name Your Škoda” Campaign for Its Brand-New Compact SUV

Mumbai, March 28, 2024 – In a significant move to amplify customer engagement, Škoda Auto India has launched the “Name Your Škoda” campaign for its upcoming compact SUV, set to make its global debut in March 2025. This innovative campaign invites participants to suggest names for the new vehicle, with a chance for winners to own the car they name and enjoy a trip to Prague.

The campaign has already received a staggering response, with over 130,000 name suggestions pouring in. Petr Janeba, Brand Director at Škoda Auto India, emphasized the importance of this initiative, stating, “India is pivotal to Škoda Auto’s global growth, and through ‘Name Your Škoda’, we aim to continue our legacy of developing India-specific products like Kushaq and Slavia. This campaign allows us to deepen our connection with our customers and fans by involving them in the naming process of our new SUV.”

The “Name Your Škoda” campaign marks the next phase in Škoda Auto India’s strategy to engage with its audience. The company has a tradition of naming its SUVs with a name starting with ‘K’ and ending with ‘Q’, reflecting the vehicle’s qualities and heritage. The upcoming compact SUV follows this naming tradition, underscoring Škoda’s commitment to blending innovation with tradition.

Participants can now vote for their favorite names from a shortlist via the campaign’s microsite,, and engage on social media with #NameYourSkoda. The grand prize winner will be one of the first owners of the new SUV, while ten others will receive an exclusive trip to the Škoda Museum in Mlada Boleslav and a tour of Prague.

The voting phase of the campaign runs from March 28 to April 12, 2024, with a jury consisting of Škoda Auto’s top executives overseeing the selection process. The compact SUV, based on the MQB-A0-IN platform, highlights Škoda Auto India’s focus on safety, affordability, and the distinctive Škoda design ethos. This vehicle represents Škoda Auto India’s venture into the compact SUV segment, continuing the success of the India-developed Kushaq SUV and Slavia sedan.

Through the “Name Your Škoda” campaign, Škoda Auto India aims to foster a sense of pride and community among its customers and fans, eagerly anticipating the unveiling of this new SUV in the Indian market.
