Toyota Unveils Pricing and Exclusive Sales Strategy for the Highly Anticipated New GR Yaris

Starting from £44,250, the Top Model Peaks at £60,000 (INR 63.09 lakh)

Toyota UK has officially announced the pricing and a unique sales approach for the eagerly awaited 2024 GR Yaris, a car that has already garnered much excitement following the success of its predecessor. Known for bringing genuine World Rally Championship technology to the public road, the new GR Yaris promises to amplify this legacy with advanced engineering and exclusive availability.

In a bid to manage the expected high demand and maintain fairness, Toyota (GB) will implement a custom sales procedure. Priority will be given to existing GR Yaris owners and individuals who had previously joined the waiting list before its closure in May 2022. These select customers will be invited to participate in a ballot for the opportunity to purchase the new GR Yaris, ensuring equitable distribution of the UK’s limited 2024 stock. Further details regarding the sales process are anticipated to be disclosed to potential buyers in May.

The 2024 GR Yaris lineup features four distinct versions, including two special editions that were crafted with input from Toyota Gazoo Racing’s World Rally Champions, Sébastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanperä. This launch not only extends the GR Yaris range but also introduces vehicles that are a direct result of championship-winning experience and insight.

The latest iteration of the GR Yaris boasts considerable engineering advancements, notably an upgraded turbocharged three-cylinder engine that now produces 276bhp/280 DIN hp and 390Nm of torque. An optional eight-speed Gazoo Racing Direct Automatic Transmission is also available, offering rapid gear shifts reminiscent of competition-level performance.

The chassis of the GR Yaris has been reinforced, and the interior cockpit design has been refined to enhance the sports car experience, whether for road driving or motorsport activities. Suspension tweaks have been made to improve control and performance, ensuring the car remains robust under various conditions. The celebrated GR-FOUR all-wheel-drive system continues to provide dynamic torque distribution for unparalleled control.

Adding to the allure of the new GR Yaris are two special editions influenced by the preferences of TGR-WRT champions Sébastien Ogier and Kalle Rovanperä. These editions feature bespoke settings for handling and performance, replacing the standard “Gravel” and “Track” AWD modes with tailored configurations. Each special edition car also showcases unique exterior and interior design elements, making them stand out as collectors’ items.

As Toyota prepares to launch the new GR Yaris, enthusiasts and potential buyers are eagerly awaiting the chance to own a piece of rally heritage, packed with modern enhancements and exclusive features.
