Revolutionizing the Road: 2024 VW Crafter Ushers in a New Era of High-Tech Transportation

Hanover, March 20, 2024 – Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles proudly announces the upcoming launch of the latest iteration of its iconic Crafter model, setting new standards in technology and user convenience. Scheduled for release in a few short weeks, the 2024 Crafter is poised to redefine expectations with a comprehensive software and hardware overhaul, focusing on a state-of-the-art driving experience.

At the heart of this transformation is the Crafter’s fully redesigned digital cockpit, featuring the next generation of Volkswagen’s infotainment systems. The 2024 model introduces the Digital Cockpit as a standard offering, equipped with digital instruments that merge seamlessly into a visually striking and optionally sized 10.3-inch or 12.9-inch infotainment display. This advanced display is part of the latest Modular Infotainment Matrix (MIB), showcasing a freshly developed graphical interface for intuitive navigation.

Enhancing the Crafter’s interactive capabilities is the integration of a digital voice assistant powered by ChatGPT technology, responding adeptly to natural voice commands for a multitude of vehicle functions. This innovative feature underscores Volkswagen’s commitment to harnessing cutting-edge technology to improve driver convenience and safety.

The redesign extends to the vehicle’s physical controls, including a new electronic parking brake, a revamped automatic gearbox switch, and updated controls for lighting and ventilation, ensuring every aspect of the Crafter is optimized for ease of use and efficiency.

In addition to these technological advancements, the 2024 Crafter introduces an array of standard and optional assist systems designed to elevate safety and driver assistance to new heights. These include Front Assist with Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Assist, Dynamic Road Sign Display, and a rear-area acoustic Park Distance Control, with Travel Assist making its debut as an optional feature.

To facilitate informed purchasing decisions, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has launched a dedicated website for the Crafter, featuring comprehensive information and images of the new model. Pre-sales are set to begin in mid-April, marking the start of a new chapter for the Crafter that combines Volkswagen’s legacy of quality with the very latest in technology and design innovation.
