Women Take the Wheel: Maruti Suzuki Launches ‘Arena Journeys’ in a Drive Toward Empowerment

New Delhi, March 08, 2024 – In a spirited celebration of International Women’s Day, Maruti Suzuki India Limited has rolled out a digital extravaganza titled ‘Arena Journeys’ under its Maruti Suzuki Arena brand. This innovative campaign is designed to honor and inspire the increasing brigade of women drivers and influencers in the automobile world, marking a notable shift towards gender inclusivity and empowerment on the roads of India.

Breaking the mold with a blend of storytelling and automotive excellence, Maruti Suzuki has partnered with four of India’s most influential women filmmakers – Tanuja Chandra, Alankrita Shrivastava, Sonam Nair, and Tahira Kashyap Khurrana. These creative powerhouses will bring to life inspiring tales that resonate with the brand’s ethos of ‘Joy of Mobility’, showcasing women in the driver’s seat of their lives and journeys.

Since its inception, Maruti Suzuki Arena has been the choice of over 9 lakh women customers, a testament to the brand’s commitment to reliability and trust. With a notable jump to over 28% of women citing the brand’s value as their purchase reason in FY23-24, from 18% in FY17-18, it’s clear that Maruti Suzuki is cruising in the right direction.

Shashank Srivastava, Senior Executive Officer, Marketing and Sales at Maruti Suzuki India Limited, expressed his enthusiasm about the initiative, “We’re thrilled to spotlight the empowering journey of women who are confidently navigating the roads and making informed decisions in the auto world. ‘Arena Journeys’ is more than a campaign; it’s a narrative of inclusivity, empowerment, and our unwavering commitment to meet the evolving needs of our female customers.”

Targeted at the modern, experimental, and forward-thinking women of today, nearly half of whom are first-time car buyers, ‘Arena Journeys’ aims to cater to the diverse aspirations and needs of women across India. These stories, set to air on Terribly Tiny Tales’ YouTube channel, feature protagonists discovering missing pieces of their lives, with a Maruti Suzuki Arena car playing a pivotal role in their journey.

In collaboration with Terribly Tiny Tales, a content powerhouse with a formidable presence across social media platforms, this initiative promises to engage and inspire a wide audience, celebrating the spirit of Women’s Day with stories of freedom, mobility, and empowerment.
