Tata’s Terrific Tots Top Safety Tests: Nexon Nails It Again with GNCAP Glitter

Tata Motors’ latest marvel, the all-new Nexon, has once again vaulted to the forefront of vehicular safety, clinching a coveted 5-star rating in the Global NCAP’s rigorous testing regime. As of February 14, 2024, from the bustling streets of Mumbai, Tata Motors has proudly announced that its flagship SUV, the Nexon (ICE), revered as India’s SUV par excellence, has not only maintained its legacy but enhanced it, scoring an impressive 32.22 out of 34 points for adult occupant protection and an equally stellar 44.52 out of 49 points for child occupant protection.

This latest accolade from the Global NCAP, the pinnacle of automotive safety recognition worldwide, marks a significant milestone for Tata Motors. It reaffirms the company’s unwavering commitment to safety, ensuring that its entire fleet of SUVs now boasts the highest safety ratings, setting a new benchmark for vehicles on Indian roads.

Mohan Savarkar, the Chief Product Officer at Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, couldn’t hide his pride as he remarked, “Safety isn’t just a feature for us; it’s our ethos. Securing the prestigious 5-star rating from Global NCAP for the new Nexon, especially under the stringent criteria set by the 2022 protocol, is a testament to our dedication to innovation and excellence. This achievement not only continues the legacy of the Nexon, which was the first car in India to bag a 5-star GNCAP rating back in 2018, but also elevates our entire SUV lineup to the pinnacle of safety standards.”

The Nexon, a shining beacon in the compact SUV category, has consistently set itself apart since its debut, winning the hearts and trust of over 600,000 families. With the launch of the new Nexon, Tata Motors reiterates its promise of surpassing customer expectations, delivering a vehicle brimming with advanced safety features like six airbags, 360-degree camera views, and emergency assistance systems, to name just a few.

In a world where the road ahead is unpredictable, Tata Motors’ fleet of SUVs stands as a fortress on wheels, promising safety, comfort, and peace of mind, one 5-star rating at a time.
