IRVINE, Calif., February 8, 2024 – In a heartwarming twist to Super Bowl commercials, Kia America rolls out its latest marvel, the 2024 Kia EV9, in a 60-second spectacle dubbed “Perfect 10”. This innovative ad, marking Kia’s 15th Super Bowl appearance, not only showcases the pioneering three-row EV SUV but also illuminates the emotional power within us all to make a difference in the lives of our loved ones.

The commercial, set against the soulful melody of Cat Power and Coldplay’s “Wish I Was Here”, follows the journey of a determined young figure skater and her father. After a skating competition, the duo embarks on a magical adventure powered by the Kia EV9. Utilizing the vehicle’s Vehicle to Load (V2L) capability, the father transforms a secluded frozen pond into a whimsical ice rink, creating a private encore performance for the girl’s grandfather, who watches from his cabin. This touching moment highlights the Kia EV9’s ability to power more than just the drive – it powers dreams.

Russell Wager, vice president of marketing at Kia America, expressed his excitement about the campaign: “The Kia EV9 is electric like you’ve never seen. With ‘Perfect 10’, we’re thrilled to introduce our groundbreaking SUV to over 100 million viewers. It’s a story that resonates with the power each of us holds inside – the power to bring joy to those we care about.”

The campaign, crafted by David&Goliath, Kia’s creative agency, extends beyond the Super Bowl spot with digital, print, and social media content, ensuring the message of inner strength and the joy of giving is felt across multiple platforms.

As the first mass-market three-row EV SUV in the U.S., the 2024 Kia EV9 is now making its way into dealerships nationwide, ready to offer families a new way to explore the world while reminding us of the power we all possess to light up the lives of others.
