Sitaram Kandi Shifts Gears to Drive Human Resources at Tata Motors

Mumbai, February 2, 2024: In an electrifying update from the automotive giant, Tata Motors revs up for a strategic leadership shift by appointing Sitaram Kandi as the new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO), effective April Fools’ Day, 2024. This move is no joke, as Kandi gears up to steer the company’s human resources department into the future.

With a dashboard full of experience, Kandi is currently the mastermind behind Human Resources for Tata Motors’ Passenger Vehicle and Electric Vehicle ventures. He’s been fueling the company with innovative employee relations and skill-building initiatives, preparing Tata Motors for a smooth ride ahead.

Kandi, a seasoned navigator of the HR landscape, will be taking over the steering wheel from Ravindra Kumar G.P., who has been piloting the HR department since 2018. Kumar is set to cruise into a new role within the Tata Group, leaving the CHRO keys to Kandi.

Before joining Tata Motors in 2019, Kandi spent three decades in the HR fast lane, working with global powerhouses like Bosch, Monsanto, and General Electric. An alumnus of the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies, his career is a testament to his ability to drive change and foster growth.

As Kandi joins the Tata Motors Executive Committee, he brings with him a trunk full of knowledge and expertise. Under his leadership, Tata Motors is all set to accelerate its journey towards innovative mobility solutions, proving once again that when it comes to leadership, they’re in it for the long haul.
