Chevy’s New Equinox: Wider, Wilder, and Wowing With Tech and Trail-Readiness!

DETROIT – In a bold drive into the bustling compact SUV arena, Chevrolet unveils its 2025 Equinox, a dazzling blend of modern tech and eye-catching design. This SUV, with a sales legacy of over 3 million, is now revamped with a sleeker, more robust look and an array of contemporary features.

Chevrolet has rejuvenated its entire crossover and SUV lineup, including the Trax, Trailblazer, Blazer, and the upcoming 2024 Traverse, within just two years. The latest Equinox stands out with larger screens, advanced safety features, and the debut of its Activ trim, designed for the outdoor enthusiast.

Scott Bell, Vice President of Chevrolet, highlights the Equinox’s new truck-inspired bodylines, a trait shared with the upcoming Traverse. The Equinox, a customer favorite for two decades and Chevrolet’s second-best seller after Silverado, now boasts upgraded options in its LT, RS, and Activ trims.

The Activ Edge

The Equinox Activ is a trailblazer, catering to adventure-seekers with its unique front fascia, all-terrain tires, and an optional two-tone finish with a white roof. Its rugged charm is further enhanced by:

  • A tough front fascia with vertical grille inserts and metallic accents
  • 17-inch aluminum wheels
  • A chic Maple Sugar and Black interior with sueded seating surfaces
  • Heated and ventilated front seats, with additional heating for rear seats

A Striking Exterior

Chevrolet’s latest Equinox boasts a 2.3-inch wider body, giving it a more grounded presence. The design includes:

  • Distinct front fascias for LT, RS, and Activ
  • Squared wheel openings and fender flares for a muscular look
  • A unique C-pillar shark fin and all-LED lighting
  • Aluminum wheel options, including 20-inch wheels for the RS

The RS model amps up the style with black emblems, mirrors, and an expansive grille, complemented by 19-inch machined aluminum wheels.

Tech-Savvy Interior

Inside, the Equinox impresses with an 11-inch driver information center and an 11.3-inch infotainment screen, offering seamless connectivity with Google built-in. The redesigned dashboard enhances the spacious feel, while the Electronic Precision Shift frees up more storage space.

Highlights include:

  • Engaging tactile materials throughout
  • Standard heated steering wheel and front seats
  • Up to 63.5 cubic feet of storage with foldable rear seats
  • A standard six-speaker audio system and optional wireless charging

The RS interior features unique red and blue stitching and a flat-bottom steering wheel.

Designed for Safety

The 2025 Equinox prioritizes safety with Chevy Safety Assist3, offering:

  • Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning
  • IntelliBeam, and more

Other safety features include Side Bicyclist Alert and Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking.
