Mumbai, January 5, 2024 – Audi India, the renowned luxury car manufacturer, has announced an impressive 89% growth in retail sales, selling 7,931 units from January to December 2023. This marks the highest sales for the company since 2015, with significant growth in various segments.

In the fourth quarter of 2023 alone, Audi retailed 2,401 units, showcasing a remarkable 94% growth. The year was marked by the introduction of three new products – the Audi Q3 Sportback, Audi Q8 e-tron, and Audi Q8 Sportback e-tron – and three limited editions, namely Audi Q8, Audi Q5, and Audi S5. These launches significantly contributed to the company’s sales momentum.

Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, expressed satisfaction with the 2023 performance, attributing the success to the diverse and appealing product range. “We are proud to continue our upward trajectory, leading with industry-first initiatives and delivering unparalleled luxury experiences,” said Mr. Dhillon. He also highlighted the expansion of Audi’s retail footprint, ending the year with 64 touchpoints, including showrooms and workshops, and 25 Audi Approved: plus showrooms nationwide.

The Audi SUV range witnessed a 174% growth, while Performance & Lifestyle cars, including the e-tron range, grew by 40%. Notably, the Audi Approved: plus pre-owned car business saw a 62% increase in 2023, with plans to continue expanding.

Audi India’s commitment to customer-centricity was further demonstrated through the launch of industry-first initiatives. These include India’s first ultra-fast charging e-tron hub in Mumbai’s BKC and the ‘ChargeMyAudi’ feature on the myAudiConnect app, providing access to over 1,000 charging points. The company also introduced Audi Club Rewards, a unique rewards program offering exclusive access and privileges to over 64,000 active members.

Concluding his statement, Mr. Dhillon noted, “The fact that one in every four customers is a repeat buyer speaks volumes about our path and commitment. We aim to continue focusing on offering the best to our customers and bringing the finest products to India.”

Audi India’s current product portfolio includes a range of models, from the Audi A4 to the Audi RS e-tron GT, catering to various customer preferences and reinforcing its position as a leader in the luxury car segment.
