Only Trade Fair in India: Buy any vehicle & get 50% RTO discount in Gwalior

The Gwalior Trade Fair 2024 is set to offer significant incentives for vehicle buyers, as the state government has announced a 50% reduction in road tax for non-transport light vehicles purchased during the fair. This decision comes after the notification issued by the state government, stipulating that the discount can only be availed for vehicles purchased within the premises of the Gwalior Trade Fair.

The local traders of Gwalior had been advocating for this concession since the formation of the Mohan government. The Chief Minister and the Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia were approached by the association with a request to provide this discount. The demand for tax relief intensified after the recent redistribution of departmental responsibilities. Finally, the Transport Department of Madhya Pradesh government announced the concession late Monday night.

To facilitate this process, a temporary office for the Transport Department will be established within the automobile sector of the Gwalior Trade Fair. Here, the formalities associated with the Regional Transport Office (RTO) will be completed. The construction of vehicle showrooms at the fair is expected to take approximately 15 days, and vendors will be issued trade certificates. Only after these formalities will customers be able to avail the 50% discount on road tax for their vehicles.

This move by the Madhya Pradesh government is anticipated to significantly boost business at the fair. The increase in the number of visitors is also expected to enhance the overall vibrancy and appeal of the event.
