New Delhi: Omega Seiki Mobility (OSM) has entered into a strategic partnership with Electra AI to introduce real-time battery health monitoring, predictive analytics and State of Health (SoH) insights across its electric vehicle ecosystem, as the company looks to improve fleet performance, battery longevity and transparency for customers and financing partners.
Under the collaboration, OSM will integrate Electra AI’s battery intelligence platform across its growing EV portfolio. The system is intended to provide deeper visibility into battery condition and performance, helping the company identify potential issues earlier, improve vehicle uptime and support maintenance and warranty decisions.
The partnership also places a particular focus on an increasingly important question for electric vehicles: what happens to their value after the first owner moves on.
Battery condition is a major factor in determining the residual value of an electric vehicle, making credible health data potentially important for used-EV buyers, fleet operators, retailers and lenders assessing the long-term value of an asset.

Focus on fleet uptime and predictive maintenance
OSM said the battery analytics technology could also support proactive maintenance by identifying changes in battery performance before they result in unexpected vehicle downtime.
For commercial EV operators, where vehicles are expected to spend more time earning their keep than waiting for attention in a workshop, such information could have a direct bearing on fleet productivity and operating costs.
The data generated through the platform is also expected to support OSM’s warranty management and product-development processes by providing real-world information on battery behaviour across vehicles and operating conditions.

Battery data could support financing decisions
Beyond vehicle operations, the companies see battery intelligence as a way to provide financiers and other stakeholders with a clearer picture of an EV’s condition over its lifecycle.
Greater visibility into battery State of Health could help lenders and buyers assess the underlying value of electric vehicles more accurately, particularly as India’s EV ecosystem expands beyond new-vehicle sales into financing, fleet operations and eventually a larger secondary market.
For manufacturers, meanwhile, continuously collected battery data can provide insights into how packs perform in actual operating environments rather than solely under controlled testing conditions.

The partnership comes as battery reliability, vehicle uptime and total cost of ownership become increasingly important considerations alongside the upfront purchase price of an electric vehicle.
For commercial EVs in particular, understanding the condition of the battery throughout the vehicle’s life can influence maintenance planning, warranty decisions, financing and eventual resale.
OSM said the collaboration is aimed at improving the ownership experience for commercial EV users while lowering operating costs and making its electric mobility ecosystem more data-driven.
As India’s electric vehicle market matures, battery intelligence could increasingly become as important as battery capacity itself. Knowing how much energy a pack can hold is useful; knowing how well it is ageing may ultimately determine how confidently an EV can be operated, financed and resold long after it leaves the showroom.
