Tata Motors Launches Nexon Camo at ₹9.99 Lakh; Gets Munnar Mist, Coorg Cloud Colours

Mumbai: Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles (TMPV) has launched the Nexon Camo in India at a starting price of ₹9.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), adding two exclusive exterior colours and a longer list of technology and comfort features to its compact SUV. The special version arrives as the Nexon completes a decade in the market and crosses the 11 lakh-customer milestone.

The Nexon Camo will be available with petrol, diesel and iCNG powertrains, along with multiple transmission choices. Its two exclusive paint options — Munnar Mist and Coorg Cloud — are accompanied by Camo-specific cosmetic details including badging on both front fenders and themed perforations on the front-seat headrests.

A major addition is what Tata Motors calls the Ultra View Twin HD Digital Cockpit, combining a 31.24 cm (12.3-inch) Harman infotainment touchscreen with a 26.03 cm (10.25-inch) Harman digital instrument cluster featuring embedded navigation.

The Camo also introduces an integrated dashcam recorder linked to the SUV’s 360-degree Camera Surround View System. It includes impact-event protection and supports storage of up to 256 GB, giving the Nexon one more electronic eye for roads where occasionally two human ones do not feel quite sufficient.

Other equipment includes a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, ventilated front leatherette seats, a nine-speaker JBL audio system with subwoofer and a 360-degree camera with Blind Spot View Monitor.

The Nexon Camo is also equipped with an Advanced Driver Assistance System, or ADAS, offering seven driver-assistance functions calibrated for Indian driving conditions. Six airbags and electronic stability programme, or ESP, are part of the safety package.

Three Powertrain Options

Tata Motors is offering the Nexon Camo with three engine choices.

The 1.2-litre turbocharged Revotron petrol engine produces 120 PS and 170 Nm of torque, while the 1.5-litre turbocharged Revotorq diesel develops 114.5 PS and 260 Nm.

The third option is Tata Motors’ 1.2-litre turbocharged iCNG powertrain, producing 100 PS and 170 Nm. It uses the company’s Twin Cylinder Technology, designed to package the CNG tanks while retaining more usable luggage space than a conventional single-cylinder arrangement.

By offering petrol, diesel and CNG versions, Tata Motors is keeping the Camo’s appeal deliberately broad rather than restricting the edition to a single engine configuration.

Nexon Completes a Decade

The launch coincides with 10 years of the Nexon nameplate, which Tata Motors says has now served more than 1.1 million customers.

Since entering the Indian market, the Nexon has become an important model in Tata Motors’ passenger-vehicle portfolio and has competed in the country’s heavily contested compact SUV segment. Over successive updates, the company has expanded the model’s range of powertrains, safety equipment, connected technology and cabin features.

Commenting on the launch, Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility said, “Since its launch a decade ago, the Nexon has provided comfortable, safe and enjoyable journeys for over 1.1 million families, becoming one of India’s most iconic nameplates with a unmissable presence on the roads. This success has been built on constantly raising the bar in safety, technology and design, while keeping these innovations accessible to a wider set of customers. The Nexon Camo carries that spirit forward, with two striking new colours and an elevated technology package that makes it the most distinctive Nexon yet. Timed perfectly for the festive season, it gives customers an even stronger reason to make the Nexon their own.”

Munnar Mist and Coorg Cloud Colours

The more distinctive of the two new colours is Munnar Mist, a dark green finish designed to change character depending on lighting conditions. Tata Motors says the shade can appear grey in shadow while revealing richer green tones and a subtle golden tint under sunlight.

Coorg Cloud takes a more restrained approach with a grey-silver finish featuring metallic highlights. It gives buyers another choice beyond the conventional palette without making the Nexon look as though it has arrived dressed for actual camouflage duty.

The timing of the Camo edition also places it ahead of India’s upcoming festive buying period, traditionally an important sales season for automakers.

Rather than introducing a new mechanical package, Tata Motors is using the Nexon Camo to broaden the compact SUV’s appeal through colours, connected technology, driver-assistance features and additional cabin equipment. With three fuel choices and multiple transmissions still on offer, the latest edition underlines how intensely India’s compact SUV battle is now being fought — not merely with engines and prices, but increasingly with screens, cameras, software and a carefully chosen shade of paint.
