Renault India Posts 27.9% Growth in July 2026 Wholesales, Extends Double-Digit Streak

New Delhi: Renault India reported domestic wholesales of 3,293 units in July 2026, marking a 27.9% increase from 2,575 units sold in the same month last year, as the French automaker continued its recent run of double-digit growth in the Indian market.

The wholly owned subsidiary of Renault Group has now recorded double-digit year-on-year growth for 11 consecutive months.

According to the company, the July performance was supported by sustained demand across its product portfolio and remained broadly in line with overall industry growth during the month.

The latest numbers come as Renault continues to refresh its Indian product line-up and introduce new variants aimed at widening its reach across price-sensitive passenger vehicle segments.

During July, Renault launched the Duster Adventure Edition, priced at ₹12.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The company also introduced an updated Renault Kwid range with a simplified two-variant line-up, with prices starting at ₹4.53 lakh, ex-showroom.

The product changes arrive at a time when competition in India’s passenger vehicle market remains intense, particularly in affordable cars and SUVs, where manufacturers are increasingly relying on feature revisions, special editions and sharper variant strategies to attract buyers. In other words, even the humble variant list is now expected to earn its keep.

Renault said it remains focused on maintaining its growth momentum and strengthening its presence across key segments of the Indian passenger vehicle market.

While Renault’s monthly volumes remain relatively modest compared with India’s largest carmakers, an 11-month streak of double-digit year-on-year growth gives the company a positive trajectory as it works to expand its footprint. Sustaining that momentum will now depend on how effectively its refreshed models translate renewed customer interest into consistently higher volumes in an increasingly crowded market.
