Renault Duster Turbo TCe 100 Promises SUV Punch With 19.41 km/l Average

Renault India says the new Duster Turbo TCe 100 blends turbocharged performance with everyday fuel efficiency, making the SUV more wallet-friendly without asking drivers to give up the fun.

New Delhi: Renault India has announced that the new Renault Duster Turbo TCe 100 has achieved an ARAI-certified fuel efficiency of 19.41 km/l, giving the SUV a strong efficiency claim in India’s highly competitive midsize SUV market.

The company said the figure reflects Renault’s focus on offering a practical balance between performance, drivability and running cost. In simpler words, the new Duster wants to be the kind of SUV that can handle the office run, the weekend highway escape and the monthly fuel bill without causing family-level budget discussions.

The Duster Turbo TCe 100 is powered by a turbocharged petrol engine producing 100 PS of power and 160 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission, which Renault says has been tuned to deliver smooth performance, responsive acceleration and improved fuel economy across varied driving conditions.

Commenting on the development, Dr. V. Vikraman, Chief of Renault Engineering, Renault Group India, said, “The ARAI-certified fuel efficiency reflects Renault’s focus on practical engineering and customer value. The Turbo TCe 100 engine uses turbocharging and efficient combustion to deliver responsive performance with strong fuel economy. With the 6-speed manual transmission, the powertrain provides a balanced and efficient driving experience.”

The new Duster TCe 100 is based on Renault’s all-new RGMP platform, with the engine and powertrain engineered specifically to match the platform’s architecture. Renault says the powertrain has been calibrated exclusively for the Duster, helping it complement the SUV’s dynamics while maintaining efficiency.

The 19.41 km/l ARAI-certified mileage gives the Duster Turbo TCe 100 an important talking point as Indian SUV buyers increasingly look for cars that offer both performance and sensible running costs. After all, turbo power is nice, but turbo power that does not make the fuel needle fall like a suspense thriller is even nicer.

With its turbocharged petrol engine, 6-speed manual gearbox and certified efficiency figure, the Renault Duster Turbo TCe 100 is positioned as a practical yet spirited option for customers seeking an SUV that can deliver daily usability along with a bit of driving enthusiasm.
