Mahindra’s Truck & Bus Business Roars Ahead in November — 57% Growth, 2232 Vehicles Sold

Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M) has kicked off December on a high note, announcing that its Trucks and Buses business posted a strong performance in November 2025. The division recorded overall sales of 2,232 vehicles, including exports, marking a robust 57% year-on-year growth. For an industry that often moves at the pace of heavy-duty logistics, this jump is less of a slow haul and more of a turbocharged climb up a steep gradient.

The company’s commercial segment above 3.5 tonnes is represented through two key entities — Mahindra Trucks & Buses Division (MTBD) and SML Mahindra Limited (SML). Together, they have maneuvered through a dynamic market landscape, backed by renewed customer confidence, economic tailwinds, and a little nudge from government policy.

Speaking on the milestone, Vinod Sahay, Executive Chairman – SML, President – Aerospace, Defence, Trucks, Buses & CE, M&M, said, “The CV industry marked a robust recovery in November buoyed by GST cut leading to improved customer sentiment and increased affordability. Mahindra Truck & Bus business clocked a 57% growth compared to the same month last year aided by improvements across all segments. We expect industry to continue its momentum in coming months.”

While passenger cars are often crowned as the glamour icons of the automotive world, commercial vehicles remain the unsung backbone of India’s economy — ferrying freight, delivering goods, powering businesses, and occasionally starring in heartwarming driver-turned-entrepreneur success stories. Mahindra’s latest numbers reinforce that the country’s logistics muscle is strengthening once again, with the CV sector shifting smoothly out of the slow lane.

The coming months will likely test whether this surge is a one-month sprint or the beginning of a long-haul journey. But for November, Mahindra’s Truck & Bus business can confidently honk its horn — and maybe even flash its hazard lights in celebration.
