Tata Motors Rolls Out GST Discounts – Customers Get to Keep the Whole Cake, Not Just a Slice

Mumbai: Tata Motors, India’s leading automotive manufacturer, has announced it will pass on the entire benefit of the recent GST reduction to customers across its cars and SUV range. The new prices will be effective from 22nd September 2025, when the revised GST rates officially kick in.

Making the announcement, Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd. & Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said,

“The reduction in GST on passenger vehicles is a progressive and timely decision that will make personal mobility more accessible for millions across India. In line with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision, the Hon’ble Finance Minister’s intent and our Customer First philosophy, Tata Motors will fully honor the spirit of this reform by passing on the entire benefit of the reduction to our customers. This will make our popular range of cars and SUVs even more accessible across segments, enabling first-time buyers and accelerating the shift towards new-age mobility for a wider spectrum of customers.”

What’s in Store for Customers?

  • Lower Prices, Same Punch: From the stylish Punch to the iconic Safari, expect reduced tags across the board.
  • Perfect Festive Timing: The reductions go live just as the festive season kicks off, ensuring more happy faces in Tata showrooms than in a Diwali cracker shop.
  • Bigger Rush, Smaller Bills: With the price slash, demand is set to surge — Tata has gently hinted that if you don’t book your Harrier or Nexon early, you may have to wait longer than your neighbour’s Diwali laddoo stock.

What Customers Should Do

Tata recommends customers confirm the exact revised prices of their preferred model and variant from authorized showrooms. Translation: stop WhatsApping your cousin in the auto business and go ask the showroom guy directly.
