Gurugram: Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) reported a stellar October with total sales of 70,078 units, marking the third-highest monthly sales in the company’s history. The impressive numbers were driven by robust domestic sales, which reached 55,568 units, also the third-highest since HMIL’s inception, alongside strong export figures of 14,510 units.
Hyundai’s SUV lineup played a pivotal role in these results, achieving record-breaking monthly SUV sales of 37,902 units. The Hyundai Creta shone brightly, with domestic sales reaching an all-time high of 17,497 units. SUVs dominated HMIL’s domestic portfolio, comprising a substantial 68.2% of total sales, highlighting the growing preference for Hyundai’s SUV offerings across both urban and rural markets.
In addition to SUVs, Hyundai’s CNG segment posted unprecedented numbers, with 8,261 units sold in October—accounting for 14.9% of total domestic sales. The rising demand for eco-friendly vehicles underscores HMIL’s commitment to sustainability and innovation through its Hy-CNG technology.
Reflecting on the robust demand, Tarun Garg, Whole-time Director and Chief Operating Officer of HMIL, stated, “The festive season bolstered the demand for our SUVs, with the Creta leading the charge. HMIL’s year-to-date sales (January to October) reached 6,47,789 units, underscoring its steady growth and resilience in a competitive automotive landscape.
