Maserati Unveils MC20 Special Series at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2024

Modena, 8 July 2024 – Maserati is set to captivate the automotive world at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, running from 11 to 14 July, with the grand unveiling of its latest super sports cars. Taking center stage are the MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda special series, making their debut alongside the striking MC20 Cielo Fuoriserie and the iconic MC12 Versione Corse.

The MC20, introduced in 2020, is celebrated for its groundbreaking design and performance, equipped with the innovative V6 Nettuno engine. This model has established itself as a leader in both coupé and convertible forms, consistently drawing attention at premier motorsport events worldwide.

Goodwood Festival of Speed, held annually in West Sussex, southern England, is a prestigious gathering of legendary drivers, teams, and contemporary motorsport heroes, featuring an array of the most coveted vehicles from both the present and the past.

Maserati will unveil the MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda, limited to 20 units each, commemorating a significant milestone in the brand’s illustrious racing history. These special editions pay homage to the triumphant MC12 and mark the 20th anniversary of Maserati’s return to competitive racing in 2004, following a 37-year hiatus.

The MC20 Icona and MC20 Leggenda boast unique liveries inspired by the MC12 Stradale and MC12 GT1 Vitaphone, respectively. These models highlight the bespoke features of the Fuoriserie personalization program, showcasing refined liveries and exclusive interiors for the public to admire.

Displayed in the Supercar Paddock, these new MC20 editions will share the spotlight with the legendary MC12 Versione Corse. This model, developed in 2006 and produced in a limited series, features a powerful 755-hp V12 engine and is designed for exclusive non-competitive track use.

Adding to the excitement, the MC20 Cielo in Blu Victory will also be on display. This captivating convertible, part of the Collezione Corse Fuoriserie, features a retractable glass roof and a distinctive white Trident on the tonneau cover, echoing the iconic MC12 from two decades ago.

The highlight of the Festival, the Hillclimb, will see the MC20 Icona, MC20 Leggenda, and MC20 Cielo showcase their extraordinary power and elegance. This event, where classic and modern racing cars and motorcycles ascend the famous 1.16-mile hill, promises to be an exhilarating spectacle.

Complementing Maserati’s presence at Goodwood is the GranCabrio Folgore, the brand’s first 100% electric convertible. This luxury, high-performance vehicle, designed for both sporty drives and comfortable long journeys, will be a standout in Goodwood’s Electric Avenue. With its cutting-edge 800V technology, the GranCabrio Folgore combines optimal performance with distinctive design, setting a new standard in the luxury convertible segment.

Maserati’s participation in the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2024 underscores its commitment to innovation, performance, and timeless style, solidifying its status as a leader in the world of luxury sports cars.
