New Škoda Slavia Arrives at ₹9.99 Lakh With Six Variants, 360-Degree Camera and Google Cloud AI

Mumbai: Škoda Auto India has announced prices for the new Slavia, starting at ₹9.99 lakh, ex-showroom India, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin next week. The updated premium sedan brings refreshed styling, new technology, additional comfort features and, most notably, a new eight-speed torque-converter automatic transmission for the 1.0 TSI engine.

Unveiled in August, the new Slavia continues to be based on the India-focused MQB-A0-IN platform and will be available from launch in six trims: Classic, Classic+, Signature, Sportline, Prestige and Monte Carlo. Buyers can choose between a 1.0 TSI petrol engine with either a six-speed manual or the new eight-speed automatic, while the more powerful 1.5 TSI is paired with a seven-speed DSG automatic.

The eight-speed torque-converter automatic is described by Škoda as a segment-first offering with the 1.0 TSI engine, replacing the familiar formula with two additional ratios for buyers who prefer to let the gearbox handle the commuting arithmetic. The 1.5 TSI variants retain the seven-speed DSG and also receive rear disc brakes.

Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said, “The Slavia has become an important part of Škoda Auto India’s sedan legacy, bringing together the design, driving experience, safety and engineering that customers associate with our brand. The new Slavia builds on that strong foundation with a more striking presence, greater comfort, smarter technology and an all-new eight-speed automatic. That is the essence of Says it All: a sedan that does not ask customers to choose between aspiration and practicality, performance and comfort, or technology and peace of mind. It brings these strengths together in one confident, complete package, making the sedan experience even more relevant and desirable for a new generation of customers.”

Refreshed exterior design

Visually, the new Slavia receives all-new LED headlamps and taillamps, with the rear lights incorporating sequential turn indicators. Other changes include a horizontal chrome strip across the grille, revised front and rear structures and new alloy-wheel designs.

The Monte Carlo continues as the sportier-looking version of the sedan, distinguished by Monte Carlo badging, red stripes and black exterior elements.

Škoda is offering the Slavia in Candy White, Carbon Steel, Brilliant Silver, Lava Blue, Deep Black, Cherry Red, Shimla Green and Steel Grey, along with two newly introduced shades — Arctic Silver and Cappuccino Beige. Deliveries of Cappuccino Beige cars are scheduled to begin in December 2026.

Rear-seat massage function joins the feature list

Among the more unusual additions is a Rear Seat Massage function, which Škoda describes as a segment-first feature for the premium sedan category.

The Slavia also gains a 360-degree Area View camera, while Park Pilot combines front and rear parking sensors to assist with low-speed manoeuvring. Higher variants receive a larger 26.03 cm Digital Cockpit.

It is an interesting sign of how far the equipment race has travelled: massage seats are no longer confined to cars whose price tags require a quiet room and a financial adviser.

Google Cloud-powered AI enters the cabin

Technology receives a substantial upgrade through a 25.6 cm touchscreen infotainment system, featuring revised widgets, animations and iconography. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are also supported.

More significantly, the infotainment system incorporates an advanced voice assistant powered by Google Cloud’s Automotive AI Agent, bringing Gemini into the car.

According to Škoda, the system provides context-aware voice assistance and access to real-time information, while allowing occupants to operate functions including music, telephone calls and climate control through voice commands. It has also been designed to recognise Indian English accents.

Six airbags standard across the range

On safety, the new Slavia carries forward its 5-star Global NCAP credentials for adult and child occupant protection.

More than 25 active and passive safety features, including six airbags, are standard across the range, while higher variants receive more than 40 safety features.

Equipment including a rear defogger, rain-sensing wipers, LED fog lamps, an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror and anti-glare outside mirrors is available from the Classic+ trim onwards.

Warranty extends up to six years

The Slavia is sold with Škoda’s Super Care package, which includes a standard four-year or 100,000 km warranty, four years of roadside assistance and four labour-free services covering up to two years or 30,000 km.

Customers can extend the standard vehicle warranty by another two years, taking total coverage to six years. Škoda is additionally providing a six-year corrosion warranty and three-year paint warranty across all variants.

Škoda Slavia Classic

The Classic forms the entry point to the new Slavia range and gets six airbags, more than 25 safety features, Climatronic automatic air-conditioning, a rear defogger, a 17.7 cm touchscreen infotainment system and R15 steel wheels with covers.

It is offered with the 1.0 TSI engine paired exclusively with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Škoda Slavia Classic+

Moving up to the Classic+ adds an electrically operated sunroof, R16 alloy wheels, all-LED lighting, rain-sensing wipers and an auto-dimming inside rear-view mirror.

Importantly, this is also where the new 1.0 TSI eight-speed torque-converter automatic joins the range.

Škoda Slavia Signature

The Signature brings a greater emphasis on connectivity and cabin technology. Equipment includes a 20.32 cm Virtual Cockpit, 25.6 cm touchscreen, Google Cloud-powered AI Assistant, built-in connectivity and a rear-view camera.

It rides on R16 alloy wheels and can be ordered with either the 1.0 TSI six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic.

Škoda Slavia Sportline

The Sportline builds on the Signature but introduces a sportier appearance along with a 360-degree Area View camera and R16 Ving Black alloy wheels.

It is offered with the 1.0 TSI engine in both manual and eight-speed automatic configurations.

Škoda Slavia Prestige

The Prestige sits towards the top of the conventional Slavia range and introduces several of the sedan’s headline features.

It receives the 26.03 cm Virtual Cockpit, 360-degree camera, R16 Savio dual-tone alloy wheels, electrically adjustable and ventilated front seats and the new Rear Seat Massage function.

Prestige is also the first trim in the range available with the 1.5 TSI and seven-speed DSG, while the 1.0 TSI can be specified with either the six-speed manual or eight-speed automatic.

Škoda Slavia Monte Carlo

At the top, the Monte Carlo combines the equipment offered on the Prestige with sportier cosmetic treatment.

It gets Monte Carlo badges, red stripes, black exterior detailing and R16 Savio Black alloy wheels.

Unlike the Prestige, the Monte Carlo is offered only with automatic transmissions: buyers can choose between the 1.0 TSI with the eight-speed torque converter and the 1.5 TSI with the seven-speed DSG.

With the latest update, Škoda is attempting to strengthen the Slavia’s case at a time when SUVs dominate much of India’s passenger-vehicle conversation. Rather than reinventing the sedan, the company has added features increasingly expected by Indian buyers — bigger screens, connected technology, cameras, additional comfort and easier automatic transmission options — while retaining the two TSI powertrains and traditional three-box format.

Whether features such as rear-seat massage and an AI-powered assistant can tempt more buyers back towards sedans remains to be seen, but the new Slavia demonstrates that the segment is far from standing still.
