Bengaluru6: TVS Motor Company registered its highest-ever quarterly sales in the first quarter of FY 2026-27, selling 16.31 lakh units, driven by strong growth across two-wheelers, three-wheelers, electric vehicles and international markets.
The company, part of TVS VENU, reported that two-wheeler sales rose 27% to 15.64 lakh units in Q1 FY27, compared with 12.32 lakh units in the same quarter of FY26. Three-wheeler sales grew 48% to 0.67 lakh units, against 0.45 lakh units a year earlier.
TVS Motor also posted its highest international quarterly sales at 4.68 lakh units, a 33% increase from 3.52 lakh units in Q1 FY26. The company’s two-wheeler electric vehicle sales touched 1.30 lakh units during the quarter, marking another record for the manufacturer as the EV segment continued to charge ahead — quite literally, in this case.
In June 2026, TVS Motor Company recorded its highest monthly sales at 590,003 units, registering a 47% growth over 402,001 units sold in June 2025.
Total two-wheeler sales during the month stood at 565,417 units, up 47% from 385,698 units in June 2025. Domestic two-wheeler sales rose 46% to 411,014 units, compared with 281,012 units in the corresponding month last year.
Motorcycle sales grew 42% to 267,096 units in June 2026, against 188,774 units in June 2025. Scooter sales increased 53% to 247,950 units, compared with 162,291 units a year earlier.
The company’s electric two-wheeler sales saw a sharp rise, reaching 48,537 units in June 2026, compared with 14,400 units in June 2025. The numbers underline the growing momentum of electric mobility in India’s two-wheeler market, where buyers are increasingly looking beyond conventional petrol-powered options.
TVS Motor’s international business also delivered strong growth in June. Total international sales rose 47% to 172,355 units, against 117,145 units in June 2025. Two-wheeler exports grew 48% to 154,403 units, compared with 104,686 units a year earlier.
Three-wheeler sales for June 2026 stood at 24,586 units, a 51% increase from 16,303 units in June 2025.
The record quarterly and monthly figures point to broad-based demand for TVS Motor Company across domestic and export markets. With EVs, scooters, motorcycles and three-wheelers all contributing to growth, the company’s Q1 FY27 performance reflects both market recovery and changing mobility preferences among consumers.
