Routematic, Green SM Sign MoU to Drive Electric Employee Transportation in India

New Delhi/Bengaluru — Routematic has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Green SM to deploy the electric mobility company’s vehicles across its corporate transportation operations, in a move aimed at helping Indian enterprises shift employee commutes to cleaner, fully electric fleets.

The partnership was announced during Green SM’s official India launch event in New Delhi. Routematic, an AI-enabled corporate mobility solutions provider serving more than 400 enterprises across India, said the collaboration would support companies looking to reduce emissions from workforce transportation while maintaining safety, reliability and operational efficiency.

Under the agreement, Routematic will integrate Green SM’s electric vehicles into its corporate mobility fleet operations. The companies said the partnership would combine Green SM’s all-electric fleet experience with Routematic’s AI-powered transportation platform, fleet management capabilities, route optimisation tools and operational network.

For large companies, employee transport has quietly become one of the less glamorous but increasingly important frontiers of decarbonisation. After all, sustainability targets are easier to discuss in boardrooms than in peak-hour traffic.

Routematic said its existing EV operations in Bengaluru and Pune, where more than 400 electric vehicles have been deployed, have helped enterprises avoid approximately 15.7 lakh litres of fuel consumption annually. The company currently operates corporate EV fleets across major business hubs including Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi-NCR.

“At Routematic, sustainability has been a key pillar of our long-term mobility vision. We have been steadily expanding the adoption of electric vehicles across our transportation ecosystem and have seen firsthand the positive impact EV-led corporate mobility can create for enterprises and the environment. Our partnership with Green SM marks another important milestone in this journey, enabling us to scale sustainable employee transportation while continuing to deliver the safety, reliability, and operational excellence our customers rely on us for”, said Kavitha Ramachandragowda, Co-Founder and Executive Director, Routematic.

Green SM, a global all-electric mobility brand originated from Vietnam, officially commenced operations in India on June 5, 2026, with Delhi-NCR as its first market. The company operates under its “Ride 5 Star” service commitment and uses the all-electric 7-seater VinFast Limo Green SUV, along with professionally trained drivers and established safety standards.

Bach Tuan Anh, CEO, Green SM India said: “We are pleased to work with Routematic as Green SM begins the journey in India. Building green mobility is not only about introducing electric vehicles, but also about working with partners who understand the daily movement needs of businesses, employees, and cities. Through this collaboration, Green SM hopes to combine our experience in all-electric fleet operations with Routematic’s deep knowledge of corporate mobility, creating practical solutions that can to support India’s sustainable development.”

The companies said the collaboration comes at a time when India’s corporate mobility sector is undergoing rapid change, driven by expanding business hubs, the growth of Global Capability Centres, greater attention to employee well-being and rising expectations around environmental, social and governance goals.

Routematic operates in more than 24 cities across India, serving over 400 clients and more than 350,000 monthly users. Its portfolio includes corporate mobility technology, Transport-as-a-Service and fleet operations management. In May 2025, the company secured $40 million in Series C funding from Fullerton Carbon Action Fund and Shift4Good.

As more organisations look for measurable ways to cut emissions, fleet electrification is becoming a practical starting point. The Routematic-Green SM partnership reflects how corporate commute systems, often seen merely as logistics, are increasingly becoming part of India’s broader push toward sustainable transportation and net-zero ambitions.
