Porsche India Electrifies the Roads: Macan EV Turbo Zooms In at a Whopping INR 1.65 Crore!

In a move that’s set the Indian automotive market abuzz, Porsche India has just launched the eagerly awaited Macan EV Turbo, mere hours after its global unveiling. This marks the introduction of Porsche’s second all-electric model in India, with bookings now officially open.

Retailing at a jaw-dropping INR 1,65,05,000 (Ex-Showroom), the Macan Turbo isn’t just a feast for the eyes but also a powerhouse of performance. It’s set to hit the roads in the latter half of the year, promising a thrilling experience for electric vehicle enthusiasts.

This electric marvel boasts an impressive 470 kW (639 PS) power, with a staggering 1,130 Nm of torque, ensuring a spine-tingling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds. Its top speed? A blistering 260 kmph and 591 km range.

Under its sleek hood lies a high-capacity 100 kWh lithium-ion battery, integral to Porsche’s innovative Premium Platform Electric (PPE) with 800-volt architecture – a first for the new Macan. The battery’s smart design allows for rapid charging; a mere 21 minutes at a suitable fast-charging station can power the battery from 10 to 80 percent.

The Macan Turbo’s design, infused with Porsche’s distinctive DNA, exudes both dynamism and dominance. Michael Mauer, Vice President Style Porsche, highlights the vehicle’s seamless blend of classic Porsche proportions with the nuances of electric vehicle design, maintaining its position as the segment’s sports car, even in electric form.

Not just a pretty face, the Macan Turbo is equipped with all-wheel drive, featuring two electric motors that are controlled almost in real-time. Its electronically controlled Porsche Traction Management (ePTM) system operates five times faster than conventional systems, responding to slip in just 10 milliseconds. Additionally, the Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) enhances traction, driving stability, and lateral dynamics.

Rounding off its impressive features, the Macan Turbo is equipped with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) for an adaptable ride, striking the perfect balance between comfort and performance across its driving programmes.

In essence, Porsche India’s latest launch isn’t just an addition to their lineup – it’s a bold statement in the world of electric vehicles, promising a blend of luxury, performance, and environmental consciousness, all wrapped up in an electrifying package.
