India’s Ultra-Luxury Car Market Hits Top Gear in 2025 as Lexus LM & LX Drive 50% Growth

India’s appetite for ultra-luxury mobility is clearly shifting into a higher gear. Closing Calendar Year 2025 on a strong and stylish note, Lexus India reported a sharp surge in demand for its flagship offerings, with the LM and LX together clocking an impressive 50% year-on-year growth. Notably, these two halo models alone contributed around 19% of Lexus India’s total sales, underlining a growing preference among Indian buyers for luxury that doesn’t just whisper—but confidently announces its arrival.

The year also saw the RX emerge as a solid growth pillar for the brand. With 18% growth over CY 2024 and a 22% contribution to overall sales, the RX proved that India’s love for luxury SUVs extends well beyond flagship indulgence and into everyday premium practicality.

First-Class on Wheels, Literally

Positioned at the very top of Lexus’ Indian portfolio, the LM 350h has quickly become the poster child of ultra-luxury travel. Designed as a meticulously crafted masterpiece, the LM blends limousine-like comfort with avant-garde design—essentially turning every commute into a first-class lounge on wheels. Unsurprisingly, it has received an overwhelming response since its debut, reflecting a rising demand for chauffeur-driven luxury that prioritises serenity as much as status.

When Power Meets Polish

On the other end of the luxury spectrum—but no less indulgent—the LX 500d continues to attract buyers who want their opulence served with a side of adventure. With its commanding stance, refined interiors and legendary off-road credentials, the LX 500d seamlessly combines rugged capability with sophisticated luxury. It’s a vehicle equally comfortable conquering rough terrain or making a quiet statement outside a five-star hotel.

Leadership Speak

Commenting on the performance, Hikaru Ikeuchi, President, Lexus India, said,

“We are immensely thankful to our guests for their trust and support throughout 2025. The strong performance of our halo ultra-luxury models, LX and LM, reflects their confidence in Lexus and our dedication to delivering exceptional products and experiences that continue to push boundaries. As we move into 2026, we are encouraged by the outlook for luxury vehicles in India and will remain focused on delivering even more exciting offerings and memorable experiences.”

Ownership, Minus the Worries

Beyond the vehicles themselves, Lexus India continues to strengthen its value proposition with a holistic ownership experience. Signature benefits such as Lexus Luxury Care, an 8-year vehicle warranty, flexible service packages (Comfort, Relax and Premiere), and 5-year Roadside Assistance ensure that peace of mind comes standard—no optional extra required.

As India’s luxury car market matures, CY 2025 has made one thing clear: ultra-luxury is no longer niche. And with the LM redefining rear-seat indulgence and the LX blending muscle with finesse, Lexus seems perfectly positioned to ride this wave—smoothly, silently, and in unmistakable style.
