Gurugram – Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has decided that your excuses for “range anxiety” are no longer valid. Expanding its Creta Electric line-up, the company has introduced not one, not two, but three new feature-packed variants: the Creta Electric Excellence (42 kWh), Creta Electric Executive Tech (42 kWh), and Creta Electric Executive (O) (51.4 kWh). With ranges of 420 km and a road-trip-worthy 510 km, the Creta Electric now promises to outlast even your family WhatsApp debates about where to stop for chai.
Hyundai says the new trims are about making “technologically advanced EVs accessible to a wider set of customers.” Translation: they want everyone from the office commuter to the highway hero to plug in. And with features like Wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, a dashcam (finally, no excuses for “mera kasoor nahi tha”), and even a rear wireless charger, it’s as if Hyundai is ensuring your car is more updated than your phone.
Tarun Garg, Whole-Time Director and COO, HMIL, commented with all the enthusiasm of a man who just discovered 510 km of freedom on one charge:
“Each variant has been meticulously designed to meet the evolving needs of modern customers. These new offerings empower families to embark on journeys that are meaningful, memorable, and sustainable.”
The Variant Buffet
- Creta Electric Excellence (42 kWh): ADAS Level 2 with 20 features, dual powered seats (with memory and walk-in functions), eco-friendly leather, ventilated seats, and a foldable seatback table so your laptop or samosas never feel ignored.
- Creta Electric Executive Tech (42 kWh): Democratizes tech with a voice-enabled panoramic sunroof, ventilated seats, rear window sunshade, and of course wireless phone connectivity. Basically, “budget-friendly luxury.”
- Creta Electric Executive (O) (51.4 kWh): The big-battery boss. Comes with a voice-enabled panoramic sunroof and all the premium goodies, designed for customers who want to brag about their car being both sustainable and long-legged.
Colours, Comfort & Clever Touches
For those who believe style should match substance, Hyundai is also offering two new shades: Matte Black and Shadow Grey—perfect for anyone who wants their EV to look like it just came out of a Christopher Nolan movie.
And yes, Hyundai hasn’t forgotten eco-conscious touches: eco-friendly leather seats, rain-sensing wipers, and an 8-way powered driver’s seat with welcome retract function—a feature that makes you feel like a king, even if you’re stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic.
