Tata Harrier EV Launched at ₹21.49 Lakh — Delivers 505 km Range, 0-100 in 6.3 Seconds, and a Glimpse into the Future

Mumbai: Tata Motors, already known for giving SUVs a rugged heart and EVs a brain, has now decided to combine both — and supercharge the result. Enter the Harrier.ev, India’s most powerful homegrown electric SUV, launched at an eyebrow-raising, tire-screeching ₹21.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It’s not just an SUV. It’s a software-defined, power-laden, off-road-gliding, Dolby Atmos-booming luxury suite on wheels. And it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds — faster than your in-laws can ask, “Kitna deti hai?”

With 504 Nm of torque generated from a dual-motor QWD setup, the Harrier.ev delivers supercar performance, minus the supercar impracticality. It’s the kind of car that says “Let’s conquer the Himalayas,” but also, “Do you want ambient lighting in mauve or midnight blue?”

Performance that Charges Ahead (Literally)

Armed with 158 PS at the front and 238 PS at the rear, the Harrier.ev isn’t just about getting from A to B — it’s about launching from A, while waving smugly at B in the rear-view mirror. Thanks to a 75 kWh battery and fast-charging at 1.5C, 250 km of range can be gulped in just 15 minutes. That’s less than the time it takes to explain regenerative braking to your uncle who still drives a diesel Indica.

Go Anywhere. And See Everything. Even Underneath.

Why stop at the road? The Harrier.ev comes with six terrain modes — from Grass/Snow to Rock Crawl and one simply titled Custom, which we assume is for those who want to feel like they’re driving through a Christopher Nolan plot. Add to that Transparent Mode, which lets you see what’s under the car (rocks, curbs, fallen keys, your ex’s self-esteem — who knows?).

Luxury, Now With Cinematic Flair

Inside, things get wildly civilized. Tata has thrown in a 14.53″ Harman screen powered by Samsung Neo QLED — the world’s first, mind you — along with 10 JBL Black speakers and Dolby Atmos for a full Theatre Maax experience. Popcorn not included, but it might fly out of your hand when Boost Mode is engaged.

And if you don’t feel like parking, just don’t. The e-Valet system will reverse, summon, and park the Harrier.ev for you — all while you stand outside pretending to be in a Mission Impossible movie.

Features You Didn’t Know You Needed

  • Digital Key via UWB: Your phone is now your key. Your key is now in a drawer somewhere collecting dust.
  • DrivePay: India’s first in-car UPI-based payment system. Pay for charging or tolls without moving a muscle — except your index finger.
  • Arcade.ev App Suite: Includes 25+ entertainment apps. Great for passengers. Possibly distracting for drivers, so use responsibly.
  • Zenith Suite Interiors: Think of it as a five-star hotel room that just happens to do 0–100 in 6.3 seconds.

Safety Like a Fortified Castle on Wheels

From ADAS Level 2 with 20+ features to 7 airbags and a 540° camera system (yes, that’s one-and-a-half full circles), Tata’s made sure the Harrier.ev is safer than your browser in incognito mode. There’s also a smart mirror that doubles as a dual dashcam — and can generate QR codes to instantly download footage. Try doing that with your rearview mirror.

And the Big One — Lifetime Battery Warranty

Yes, Tata Motors is now offering a lifetime battery warranty. Not one of those “5 years or until Mercury’s next retrograde” deals. A real, bold commitment that says, “We believe this battery might outlive you.”

Tata Harrier.ev is not just the future of electric SUVs — it’s what happens when power, luxury, intelligence, and sheer audacity decide to carpool.

And to paraphrase Tata’s new motto: this EV doesn’t just push boundaries — it forgets they ever existed.
