Mahindra’s May-nificent May: 52,431 SUVs Gallop Off the Lots, Drives 17% Sales Surge

Mumbai: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. clearly isn’t taking a pit stop anytime soon. The auto giant has reported a torque-ally impressive performance for May 2025, clocking total sales of 84,110 vehicles, marking a 17% growth compared to the same month last year. That’s not just driving growth—it’s practically off-roading with it.

Leading the convoy was Mahindra’s SUV battalion, which alone accounted for 52,431 units sold domestically, a 21% jump that would make even a Scorpio feel more confident than usual. Add in exports, and the SUV total climbs to 54,819 units, proving that Mahindra’s rugged charm knows no borders.

Commercial Vehicles weren’t idling either, with 21,392 units sold in the domestic market. From urban hauls to rural roads, Mahindra’s CVs seem to be hauling more than just cargo—they’re hauling in the numbers too.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., commented, “In May, we achieved SUV sales of 52,431 units, a growth of 21%, and total vehicle sales of 84,110 units, a 17% growth compared to the same month last year. Thanks to continued demand for our products, we were able to deliver industry-leading growth across our ICE and BEV portfolio.”

In short, whether it’s powered by petrol or electrons, Mahindra’s lineup is clearly firing on all cylinders—or battery cells.

And if May was this good, one can only imagine what ‘Mahindra Monsoon’ has in store. Buckle up.
