Audi India Plugs Into the Future: 6,500+ Charging Points and Still Not Out of Juice

Mumbai: Audi India just flipped the switch on Phase II of its ‘Charge My Audi’ initiative, and the numbers are as electrifying as their EVs. With more than 6,500 charging points now buzzing across the country, the German luxury carmaker is making sure range anxiety is something we leave in the rearview mirror—right next to cassette players and road maps.

Phase II isn’t just an update—it’s an overcharge. Audi has added 5,500+ new charging points and teamed up with 16 fresh partners, creating an EV ecosystem that could give Google Maps a complex. From highways to hipster cafés, and from office parks to obscure weekend getaways, Audi’s charging network now stretches across 850+ cities, 28 states and union territories, and 4,700+ locations—which, frankly, is more connected than most friend circles post-college.

And the best part? Complimentary charging for all e-tron owners has been extended until December 31, 2025. So yes, if you’re driving an Audi e-tron, your car’s electricity bill might still be cheaper than your smartphone’s.

“We’re not just installing chargers—we’re installing confidence,” said Balbir Singh Dhillon, Head of Audi India, while clearly resisting the urge to shout “Watt a time to be alive!” “Phase II is a giant leap for Audi-kind. It’s all about making electric mobility practical, premium, and panic-free.”

The ‘Charge My Audi’ app, which sounds like something Iron Man might use for his garage, allows users to plan routes, check real-time charger availability, and control charging sessions with the finesse of tapping a screen. The backend of this system is powered by Numocity Technology, making it a bit like having a travel agent, pit crew, and weatherman in your pocket—but only more responsive.

Audi’s partner list for this mega charging grid reads like a who’s who of EV infrastructure: Shell India, Adani Total Energies, Statiq, Gentari India, Relux Electric, Lion Charge, and others—basically, if you’ve ever seen a charging station and thought, “What even is that company?”, it’s probably in the lineup.

This move isn’t just a flex. It follows a stellar 2024 where Audi India celebrated its 100,000th car on the road and launched the ‘100 Days of Celebration’ campaign. With electric vehicles becoming less of a trend and more of a transition, Audi seems determined to make sure its customers never find themselves stuck somewhere scenic with 2% battery and a confused Uber driver on the way.

So if you’re an Audi e-tron driver, congrats—you’ve got 6,500+ reasons to hit the road. Just don’t forget your playlist. The car’s already got the charge.
