Toyota India Surges Ahead with 13% Sales Growth in February 2025

Bangalore: Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has reported an impressive 13% growth in sales for February 2025, underlining its sustained market momentum and customer trust. With a total of 28,414 units sold, the company outperformed its February 2024 figures of 25,220 units, reinforcing its commitment to delivering quality, innovation, and a superior ownership experience.

Strong Domestic and Export Performance

TKM’s domestic sales reached 26,414 units, while exports contributed an additional 2,000 units, showcasing the company’s expanding global footprint. The cumulative sales for the first 11 months of FY 2024-25 stood at 3,06,105 units, reflecting a robust 30% growth over the 2,36,332 units sold during the same period in FY 2023-24.

SUVs and MPVs Lead the Charge

Varinder Wadhwa, Vice President, Sales-Service-Used Car Business at TKM, credited the company’s growth to the increasing popularity of its SUV and MPV lineup. “We extend our gratitude to our customers for their unwavering confidence in the Toyota brand. SUVs and MPVs continue to be our primary growth drivers, contributing 68% to overall sales. The strong demand for models like the Innova Crysta, Innova Hycross, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Hilux, Fortuner, Legender, and Rumion reflects the growing preference for quality and reliability.”

Strategic Product Expansions and Market Response

To cater to evolving market demands, TKM has reopened bookings for the iconic Land Cruiser 300. Additionally, the newly introduced GR-S grade under the GR Sport branding brings enhanced off-road capabilities, featuring an off-road-tuned suspension, differential locks, and improved shock absorbers. According to Wadhwa, customer response has been overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing Toyota’s commitment to performance and durability.

Hybrid and Small Car Segments Strengthen Market Position

The recently launched All-New Camry Hybrid continues to gain traction, underscoring customer preference for sustainable mobility solutions. Meanwhile, the small car segment, led by the Taisor and Glanza, played a pivotal role by contributing 28% to February’s total sales. TKM’s exceptional after-sales services and customer-centric approach have further bolstered confidence and loyalty among its customer base.

With a strong product portfolio and customer-focused initiatives, Toyota Kirloskar Motor remains well-positioned to sustain its growth trajectory and reinforce its leadership in the Indian automotive market.
