New Delhi: Maruti Suzuki India Limited recorded robust sales in February 2025, with total sales reaching 199,400 units. The company’s performance remained strong across all segments, reinforcing its market leadership in the Indian automobile sector.
According to the latest figures, Maruti Suzuki’s domestic sales accounted for 163,501 units, while sales to other original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) stood at 10,878 units. The automaker also saw healthy export figures, shipping 25,021 units overseas, highlighting its growing presence in global markets.
Segment-Wise Breakdown
Maruti Suzuki continued its dominance in various car categories:
- Mini Cars (Alto, S-Presso): 10,226 units
- Compact Cars (Swift, Baleno, WagonR, Dzire, Ignis, Celerio): 72,942 units
- Mid-Size Sedan (Ciaz): 1,097 units
- SUVs (Brezza, Grand Vitara, Fronx, Jimny, S-Cross): 65,033 units
- Eeco Van: 11,493 units
- Super Carry LCV: 2,710 units
Strong SUV Performance Drives Growth
One of the standout performers for the company in February was the SUV segment, which recorded sales of 65,033 units. The growing consumer preference for SUVs continues to drive Maruti Suzuki’s sales, with models like the Brezza, Grand Vitara, and Fronx contributing significantly to the numbers.
Meanwhile, compact cars—traditionally a stronghold for Maruti Suzuki—also witnessed steady demand, registering 72,942 units sold in February. The popular Baleno and Swift remained key volume drivers for the company.
Expanding Exports and Market Reach
Maruti Suzuki’s export numbers stood at 25,021 units, underscoring the company’s expanding footprint in international markets. The automaker has been focusing on strengthening its global distribution network, with key regions including Latin America, Africa, and Southeast Asia showing strong demand for its models.
