Mumbai – Škoda Auto India has announced a price increase of up to 3% across its vehicle lineup starting January 1, 2025. This adjustment, attributed to rising input and operational costs, will affect popular models such as the Kushaq, Slavia, Superb, and Kodiaq. However, the newly launched Kylaq, Škoda’s promising sub-4-metre SUV, will remain at its introductory pricing until it reaches the landmark figure of 33,333 bookings.
The Kylaq, unveiled to much anticipation, marks a pivotal step in Škoda’s India growth strategy. Designed for Indian roads and tastes, the SUV boasts Škoda’s latest design language, cutting-edge safety features, and robust driving dynamics. Positioned as a cost-effective yet premium offering, the Kylaq plays a crucial role in the brand’s ambitious target of achieving 1 lakh cumulative sales in India by 2026.
Over the past two years, Škoda Auto India has rapidly expanded, surpassing 100,000 sales in record time and establishing over 260 customer touchpoints across 150 cities. This growth underscores the company’s commitment to providing accessible and high-quality automotive experiences to Indian customers.
While the price hike ensures operational sustainability amid escalating costs, Škoda’s proactive measures—like maintaining Kylaq’s competitive pricing for early buyers—demonstrate a balance between market realities and customer-centric strategies. As bookings for the Kylaq accelerate, customers still have a chance to grab the SUV at its launch price, reinforcing its position as a game-changer in India’s competitive automotive market.
