Aizawl – In a thrilling collaboration, Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) and Red Bull are set to transform the cityscape of Aizawl, Mizoram, into a battleground for India’s inaugural Urban Downhill MTB race. On October 26, 22 elite riders from India and beyond will converge in Aizawl to showcase their skills in a high-stakes downhill biking competition that blends raw athleticism with high-octane adventure.
This pioneering event, known as Red Bull Tlang Ruam, marks a milestone for India’s extreme sports landscape, bringing global mountain biking culture into the heart of Northeast India’s vibrant and scenic terrain. Recognizing the region’s affinity for adventure sports, Hyundai and Red Bull’s collaboration seeks to elevate urban downhill biking, an intense sport that has captured audiences worldwide, particularly in Latin America and Europe.
Participants, including both domestic and international competitors, will also receive professional insights from legendary downhill racer Tomáš Slavik, a UCI 4X World Champion, who will conduct exclusive mentorship sessions.
