Goodwood, UK – July 11, 2024 – Alfa Romeo has made a striking impression at the 2024 Goodwood Festival of Speed, marking the UK debut of the limited-run 33 Stradale and the new fully-electric Alfa Romeo Junior.
Historic 33 Stradale Unveiled
The Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale, inspired by the iconic 1967 model, made its first public appearance outside Italy near the Supercar Paddock. This bespoke masterpiece, designed by Alfa Romeo Centro Stile, heralds the brand’s return to the world of ‘fuoriserie’ or custom-built cars. Only 33 units of this limited-edition model will be produced, each uniquely tailored by Alfa Romeo Bottega, reminiscent of Renaissance workshops and 1960s coachbuilders.
The 33 Stradale offers two powertrain options: a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 delivering over 620hp or a fully-electric version boasting over 750hp, ensuring an extraordinary driving experience.
Live Q&A with Alfa Romeo’s Design Chief
On Saturday, July 13th, at noon, festival attendees can look forward to a live Q&A session at the Alfa Romeo stand in the Supercar paddock. Pete Greaves, known as Petrol Ped, will engage in an insightful discussion with Alfa Romeo’s Head of Design, Alejandro Mesonero-Romanos. They will conduct a live walkaround of the 33 Stradale, delving into its design journey and fielding questions from the audience, which can be submitted via @AlfaRomeoUK and @PetrolPed Instagram accounts. The session will also be broadcasted on the Alfa Romeo UK Facebook page.
Introducing the Alfa Romeo Junior
The festival also sees the introduction of the Alfa Romeo Junior, the brand’s first fully-electric vehicle, displayed in Electric Avenue. This sporty and compact model is available in two power outputs: a 156hp version with up to 250 miles range (WLTP) and a 280hp variant with up to 215 miles range (WLTP). The Junior is designed to embody Alfa Romeo’s sporty DNA with features such as the most direct steering in its segment and a finely tuned suspension system.
Charging the Junior is efficient and quick, with a 10-80% charge achievable in less than 30 minutes using a 100kW rapid charger. The Junior comes in three trim levels: Junior Elettrica, Speciale, and Veloce, with the latter featuring the higher power output. Orders for the new Junior will open later this month.
Touring the UK
Following the festival, the Alfa Romeo Junior will embark on a UK tour, providing the public with the opportunity to experience this innovative electric vehicle firsthand. The roadshow will visit Bristol, Birmingham, Leicester, and The O2 in London.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed runs from July 11th to 14th, showcasing the latest innovations and classic models from the automotive world.
