Michelin X Multi Energy Z+ launched, India’s Most Fuel-Efficient Tyre for Commercial Vehicles

Michelin, renowned for its cutting-edge tyre technology, has launched the Michelin X Multi Energy Z+, its most fuel-efficient truck and bus tyre, in the Indian market. This new range, produced in India, caters specifically to the unique road and load conditions prevalent in the country and responds to the increasing demand for fuel-efficient tyres among Indian fleet operators.

The Michelin X Multi Energy Z+ marks a significant technological leap, offering the industry’s lowest rolling resistance, which translates to up to 15% fuel savings. This tubeless truck tyre, with dimensions of 295/80R22.5, is an enhanced version of the popular Michelin X Multi Energy Z and aims to reduce CO2 emissions by up to 8 tons.

Shantanu Deshpande, Managing Director of Michelin India, expressed his enthusiasm: “Following the successful introduction of the Michelin X Multi Energy Z in 2020, we are thrilled to offer the next generation Michelin X Multi Energy Z+ to our Indian customers. This tyre addresses the critical issue of high fuel costs in logistics, which can account for up to 60% of operating expenses for Indian fleet owners, by delivering exceptional fuel efficiency and reducing overall costs.”

Michelin has long been committed to a sustainable future, integrating environmental respect into its core values. For over three decades, the company has actively sought to minimize its environmental impact through innovative products, services, and solutions. Since the introduction of the “green” tyre in 1992, Michelin has led the way in sustainable tyre technology. The Michelin X Multi Energy Z+, which is expected to cut CO2 emissions by up to 8 tons, will significantly support Michelin Group’s CO2 emission reduction goals by 2030.

The new tyre range is now available at all authorized Michelin India dealerships.
