Bangalore, 14th May 2024: Altigreen, India’s premier manufacturer of commercial electric vehicles, is thrilled to announce a major milestone in its environmental journey. With around 5000 vehicles now active on the roads, registered across 173 RTO jurisdictions in India, Altigreen has collectively traveled 50 million kilometers, resulting in the conservation of 5300 metric tonnes of eCO2 emissions. This achievement highlights Altigreen’s steadfast dedication to fostering a greener and cleaner future for the nation.
Dr. Amitabh Saran, Founder and CEO of Altigreen, remarked, “We are elated to witness the positive impact of our green mobility initiatives. By reducing 5,237 tonnes of CO2 emissions, we are contributing to a cleaner environment and setting a standard for sustainable transportation in India.”
The eCO2 savings generated by Altigreen’s vehicles are comparable to the CO2 absorption capacity of approximately 2.52 lakh tree-years. To contextualize, this is equivalent to the absorption ability of 40 Cubbon Parks in Bangalore or 14 Central Parks in New York. This extraordinary accomplishment underscores Altigreen’s dedication to battling air pollution and fostering healthier urban environments across India.
Altigreen’s CO2 reduction efforts illustrate the transformative potential of electric vehicles in urban mobility. By opting for Altigreen, cities are not merely acquiring vehicles; they are investing in a greener, more sustainable future for upcoming generations.
