Nissan India Marks Strong Start in Fiscal Year with Robust Sales in April 2024

GURUGRAM, May 3, 2024 — Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd. (NMIPL) has announced a solid start to the fiscal year with consolidated wholesale figures totaling 3,043 units in April 2024. The domestic market contributed significantly with 2,404 units, complemented by 639 units in exports.

The company’s recent achievement highlights the continuing success of the Nissan Magnite, which has notably surpassed the 30,000 annual sales mark for the third consecutive year. This milestone reinforces the Magnite’s status as a transformative player in the competitive B SUV segment of India’s automotive market.

Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, expressed optimism about the company’s trajectory. “The commencement of the fiscal year has been promising. We are committed to prioritizing our customers and enhancing their automotive experiences,” said Vatsa. He emphasized the expansion of Nissan’s dealership network, including new openings in New Delhi and Durgapur, as a testament to Nissan’s commitment to accessibility and service excellence.

Since its launch in December 2020, the Magnite has achieved significant domestic sales of over 100,000 units and has made its mark internationally with exports exceeding 30,000 units. The model exemplifies Nissan’s ‘Make-In-India, Make for the World’ philosophy, combining Japanese design flair with efficient Indian manufacturing.

In addition to the domestic success, Nissan is expanding its global footprint with the Magnite now available in 15 international markets, including recent introductions in Seychelles, Bangladesh, Uganda, and Brunei. The company’s strategic focus on exports has particularly targeted the Middle East, with notable growth in markets such as Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, and Kuwait.

Nissan’s network in India has also seen substantial growth, reaching 270 touchpoints with the launch of multiple new showrooms and service workshops. This expansion not only extends Nissan’s reach but also enhances its commitment to delivering exceptional value and service to its customers.

With these developments, Nissan Motor India is poised to increase its presence and influence in both domestic and international markets, continuing to attract and satisfy customers with its innovative products and services.
