Force Motors Unveils the Rugged Gurkha in 3-door & 5-door Avatars: Mastering Roads and Rough Terrain Alike

Featuring Unmatched Power and Premium Features, the Latest Gurkha Models Are Ready to Conquer Every Challenge

Pune, April 29, 2024 – Force Motors, a leading Indian van manufacturer known for its robust vehicles like the Tempo, Trax, and Traveller, today introduced the latest iterations of the Force Gurkha: a 3-door and a 5-door version. This unveiling marks a significant upgrade in the Gurkha lineup, now equipped with a 2.6-litre turbocharged diesel engine boasting 140PS and 320Nm of torque across a wide range from 1400 to 2600rpm.

Designed to perform equally well on expressways and challenging terrains, the new Force Gurkha models feature an electronic shift-on-the-fly system for seamless transition between 2L, 4H, and 4L drive modes. The vehicle’s impressive specs include a class-leading ground clearance of 233mm, newly developed independent front suspension, and a stylish yet rugged design inspired by the iconic Mercedes Gelandewagen.

The 5-door variant offers ample space with seven seats, including captain seats in the first and third rows, and a comfortable three-seater in the middle. The 3-door model features four captain seats, ensuring a luxurious and accessible experience for all passengers.

Both models come equipped with a state-of-the-art digital instrument cluster, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and dual-tone 18-inch alloy wheels that enhance the vehicle’s imposing presence on the road.

Prasan Firodia, Managing Director of Force Motors, expressed his enthusiasm about the launch: “The All-new Force Gurkha is a testament to our commitment towards providing an unparalleled driving experience by combining our legacy of robust engineering and manufacturing excellence.”

He added, “India’s diverse geography offers innumerable opportunities to explore and experience, from snow-capped peaks to deserts and scenic coastlines. The 2024 Force Gurkha is uniquely equipped for daily commutes, highway drives, and overlanding across the country.”

With features like fully locking mechanical differentials, electronic shift-on-the-fly, and high ground clearance, the Force Gurkha is built to handle both the daily commute and more adventurous off-road excursions. It also comes with a range of homologated accessories designed to enhance both functionality and aesthetics.

The new Gurkha variants can be booked with an initial payment of Rs 25,000 at any Gurkha dealership. The price announcement is expected in the first week of May, with deliveries to customers starting from mid-May onwards.
