MG Hector’s New Pro Variants Shine Brighter Than My Future, Packed With Gadget Galore and Sky-High Sunroofs

Starting at a Wallet-Watching INR 13.99 Lakh, the Shine Pro and Select Pro Are Here to Pro-ject Luxury

Gurugram, March 4, 2024 – In a move that has gadget lovers and sunroof sunbathers buzzing, MG Motor India has turbocharged the SUV market with the launch of two swanky new variants of the Hector – the Shine Pro and the Select Pro. With features so luxurious they’ll make your car the place to be, the Hector’s price tag starts at a surprisingly grounded INR 13.99 Lakh (ex-showroom), making luxury accessible without needing to break the piggy bank.

These Pro variants are like the Swiss Army knives of the SUV world, equipped with what is touted as India’s largest 14-inch HD portrait infotainment system – because, in this digital age, size and connectivity do matter. The Select Pro variant boasts a dual-pane panoramic sunroof that’s perfect for stargazing or cloud counting, while the Shine Pro comes with a single pane electric sunroof for those who prefer a slightly less open relationship with the sky.

But wait, there’s more! Imagine wireless everything – from Apple CarPlay & Android Auto to a phone charger that cuts the cord. Add to this an array of LED bling, including projector headlamps and connected tail lamps, plus chrome that sparkles on the door handles like the twinkle in your eye when you first see this beauty.

Inside, it’s all about the all-black theme with premium upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel that feels as good as it looks. The Shine Pro and Select Pro don’t just roll; they make a statement with a full digital cluster featuring a 17.78 cm embedded LCD screen that keeps all your crucial info in sight and mind.

In the heart of these beasts lies the convenience of a push-button engine start/stop paired with smart entry, because keys are so last season. The new variants also bring to the table the first-in-segment Digital Bluetooth Key and Key Sharing capability, ensuring you’re always connected, even in ways you didn’t know you needed.

Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director at MG Motor India, shared, “Since its debut in 2019, the Hector has been the poster child for tech-savvy SUVs, blending performance with a plethora of features. These new Pro variants are our latest love letter to SUV aficionados, offering unmatched tech, luxury, and style.”

On top of the tech and luxury, MG hasn’t skimped on safety and convenience, packing in everything from cruise control to electronic parking brakes and all-wheel disc brakes. And because they know one size doesn’t fit all, the Select Pro rolls on 18” diamond-cut alloy wheels, while the Shine Pro sports 17” silver alloys.

Launching the Shine Pro at INR 15,99,800 and the Select Pro at INR 17,29,800 (ex-showroom), MG also throws in the “MG Shield” after-sales service, ensuring your Hector experience is as smooth as its ride. This package includes a 3+3+3 warranty, roadside assistance, and labour-free services, with options to extend for a worry-free ownership journey.

So, if you’re in the market for an SUV that’s more loaded than a holiday dinner plate, the Hector’s new Pro variants might just be what you’ve been waiting for.
