Toyota UK Launches ‘Van-tastic’ Duo: The Dashing 2024 Proace and the Compact Proace City

Commercial Van Makeover: Toyota’s Latest Proace Range Brings Power, Style, and Innovation to the Road

In a move that’s revving up excitement in the world of light commercial vehicles, Toyota UK has unleashed the 2024 Proace and Proace City vans, kickstarting a year of transformation with flair and horsepower. These vans aren’t just your average workhorses – they’re a blend of style, efficiency, and innovation, setting new benchmarks in the commercial vehicle sector.

Leading the charge is the diesel-driven 2024 Proace medium-duty van. It sports a bold new look while retaining the award-winning practicality and efficiency that have become synonymous with the Proace name. Customers are spoilt for choice with various formats: the standard van, a Crew Cab variant, and a Platform Cab for those unique, custom needs.

Under the hood, the Proace flexes its muscles with a 2.0-litre diesel engine, producing a robust 142bhp. For those craving more power, the Sport models boast a 174bhp engine, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Not to be outdone, the Active and Icon versions feature a 1.5-litre engine, offering a balance of power and efficiency.

But it’s not just about power – the Proace is a champion of load-carrying capabilities, offering up to 6.6 m³ of load volume, a class-leading 1,400kg payload, and a 2,500kg towing capacity. Its compact height and tight turning circle make it a dream to maneuver, especially in urban settings.

The Proace range starts with the Active grade, featuring a 10-inch multimedia touchscreen, automatic emergency braking, and other advanced safety features. The higher Icon and Sport grades add luxury and style, with satellite navigation, wireless phone charging, and striking black alloys, respectively.

Not to be overshadowed, the 2024 Proace City also gets a makeover, sporting the new Proace family design. This compact van continues to excel in load-carrying capabilities, matching the best in its class.

The Proace City is available in medium or long body lengths, with a payload of one tonne. It features the innovative Toyota Smart Cargo system, enhancing its space and functionality. The core powertrain is a 101bhp 1.5-diesel engine, with the Sport versions stepping it up to a 129bhp engine.

Starting with the Active grade, the Proace City is well-equipped with safety and convenience features, including Automatic Emergency Braking and a rear camera. The Icon and Sport models up the ante with additional navigation systems, front fog lights, and stylish alloy wheels.

The 2024 Toyota Proace starts at £29,921 (INR 31.47 lakh), with deliveries expected from April/May. The Proace City begins at a competitive £23,496 (INR 24.71 lakh). Both models are backed by Toyota’s confidence-inspiring warranty package of up to 10 years/100,000 miles and five years’ roadside assistance.

In summary, Toyota UK’s latest offerings, the 2024 Proace and Proace City, are more than just commercial vans – they’re a testament to Toyota’s commitment to innovation, efficiency, and style in the commercial vehicle arena. Get ready to hit the roads with these “van-tastic” powerhouses!
