Bengaluru: Škoda Auto India has expanded its presence in Bengaluru with the inauguration of a new Customer Touchpoint in Peenya, comprising a service workshop and the brand’s first Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) Cars sales showroom in the city.
The new facility, opened in partnership with PPS Motors Pvt. Ltd., takes Škoda Auto India’s network in Bengaluru to 20 Customer Touchpoints. Nationally, the automaker now operates more than 346 Touchpoints across 193 cities, marking a sharp expansion from just over 120 Touchpoints in 2021.
Located in Peenya, the facility combines new-car ownership support with the growing pre-owned vehicle business under one roof.
The CPO sales section covers 1,000 sq. ft. and has display space for two cars. The adjoining service facility spans 11,700 sq. ft. and is equipped with 20 service bays, a paint booth and an express bay.
Škoda Auto India said the facility follows its Modern Solid global design philosophy, with the layout intended to provide customers with an integrated sales and after-sales experience.
While two cars may not constitute the largest showroom floor in Bengaluru, the considerably bigger workshop makes clear where much of the day-to-day customer activity is expected to happen.
With the latest addition, Škoda Auto India now has 34 Customer Touchpoints across 12 cities in Karnataka — Belgaum, Bellary, Bengaluru, Davanagere, Hassan, Hubbali, Kalaburagi, Mangalore, Mysore, Shivamogga, Tumkuru and Udupi.
Commenting on the inauguration, Ashish Gupta, Brand Director, Škoda Auto India, said, “With the inauguration of this new Customer Touchpoint in Bengaluru, we continue to strengthen Škoda Auto India’s presence in the state of Karnataka and the southern region of India. Bengaluru alone has 20 Customer Touchpoints now operational, and we are bringing our complete product range closer to customers while ensuring they experience the highest standards of service and care. Karnataka remains a vital pillar of India’s growth, and with the Kylaq, new Kushaq and Slavia, and Kodiaq, we are confident of growing the Škoda brand in this important market.”
The Peenya opening also expands the network of PPS Motors Pvt. Ltd., which now operates 11 Škoda touchpoints in Karnataka.
Rajiv Sanghvi, Managing Director, PPS Motors Pvt. Ltd., said, “We are excited to inaugurate this new workshop, along with Bengaluru’s first Škoda Certified Pre-Owned Car sales point. This marks our 11th touchpoint in Karnataka, complementing our 16 more touchpoints across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Gujarat. With over 75 years of experience and a deep understanding of evolving customer needs, we remain committed to providing quality, accessible and customer-centric after-sales services, while delivering a best-in-class ownership experience to our customers.”
Network expands from 120 to over 346 touchpoints
Škoda Auto India has been steadily widening its retail and service footprint as it seeks to bring dealerships and after-sales facilities closer to customers beyond the largest automotive markets.
The company’s network has grown from over 120 Touchpoints in 2021 to more than 346 Touchpoints across 193 cities.
Karnataka remains an important part of that expansion, with the automaker planning further additions in the state over the next year.
The Bengaluru facility is notable not only for increasing Škoda’s service capacity but also for introducing a dedicated Certified Pre-Owned sales outlet in the city. Such facilities allow manufacturers to maintain a greater presence through different stages of vehicle ownership, rather than ending the customer relationship when the keys first change hands.
For Škoda Auto India, the Peenya opening forms part of a broader effort to deepen its physical network as its product portfolio and customer base expand. In an increasingly competitive Indian passenger vehicle market, adding cars to the showroom is only one half of the equation; ensuring that owners have convenient access to service and support is becoming just as important.
