Dacia Dazzles with Triple Debut at Geneva: Duster Dances, Spring Springs, and Sandrider Rides the Sands!

In a display of automotive excellence, Dacia is set to steal the spotlight at the upcoming Geneva International Motor Show, slated for 26 February through 3 March 2024. The brand is gearing up to occupy a sprawling 900m2 stand, where it will unveil not one, not two, but three world premieres: the All-New Duster, All-New Spring, and the much-anticipated Sandrider, a contender for the World-Rally Raid Championship.

The star-studded event will see rally legend Sébastien Loeb grace the Dacia stand, offering a close-up view of the Sandrider prototype, from 10:00 to 10:30 AM on 26 February.

All-New Dacia Duster: A Triumphant Return

The Duster, Dacia’s iconic SUV, is set for its grand public debut at the show. Since its inception in 2010 and its first revamp in 2017, the Duster has defied SUV norms, amassing over 2.2 million units in production. The third-generation Duster, riding on the CMF-B platform, promises a bolder, more robust design, and a diverse engine range including the TCe 100 Bi-Fuel, HYBRID 140, and the 48V TCe 130 mild-hybrid, available in both 4×2 and 4×4 transmissions. Priced under €20,000 (INR 17.95 lakh), it continues to reign as the most cost-effective family SUV on the market. UK buyers can expect pricing and specifications by the second quarter of 2024.

All-New Dacia Spring: A Jolt of Electric Excitement

The show will also mark the public debut of the All-New Spring, Dacia’s latest electric marvel. Boasting a fresh exterior and interior design, it’s Europe’s only sub-tonne electric car, combining compactness with unrivaled loading capacity and smart features. The Spring offers a digital dashboard with a 7-inch screen and a 10-inch multimedia central screen. Power options include a 45 hp motor for the Essential and Expression trims, and a 65 hp motor for the Expression and Extreme trims. The Spring is set to redefine efficient, affordable mobility in the UK, with pricing and specifications to be announced on 12 March 2024.

Sandrider: Dacia’s Desert Dominator

Lastly, Dacia will showcase the Sandrider, its prototype set to make its racing debut at The Dakar Rally in 2025, before taking on the World Rally-Raid Championship. Embodying Dacia’s ethos of being Essential but Cool, Robust & Outdoor, and Eco-Smart, the Sandrider is a testament to the brand’s commitment to affordable, low-carbon mobility. Powered by synthetic fuel from Aramco, the Sandrider is designed with input from racing crews, aligning seamlessly with Dacia’s DNA.

Be sure to check out these marvels and meet Sébastien Loeb at the Dacia stand during the Geneva International Motor Show!
