Turbocharged Tempest in a Teacup: The 2018 Fiat Abarth Avventura, A Mighty Mouse on Wheels

In a thrilling twist of fate, the 2018 Fiat Abarth Avventura has zoomed into the spotlight, not just for its charming looks but for the beastly heart it harbors under its hood. With its turbocharged T-Jet engine making a heroic 140 horsepower, this car proves that size isn’t everything when it comes to packing a punch.

Currently up for grabs in Chandmari, Guwahati, is a first-owner 2018 Fiat Punto Avventura, powered by Abarth, at a steal price of INR 3.95 lakh. This mechanical marvel doesn’t just boast a tail-mounted spare wheel for that rugged adventurer look; it’s a symphony of power and efficiency. The petrol variant features a 1368 cc, inline-four cylinder, turbocharged Starjet T-jet, powered by Abarth’s Fully Integrated Robotised Engine (FIRE), delivering a robust 140 HP and 210 Nm of torque. Despite its spirited performance, it maintains an impressive 17 kmpl average, fueled by a 45-litre tank, and catapults from 0 to 100 kmph in just 9.9 seconds, with a top speed of 190 kmph. This nimble navigator comes equipped with a 5-speed manual transmission and tips the scales at 1265 kg.

The tale of the Abarth Avventura began in October 2014, when Fiat India unveiled a crossover version of the Punto Evo dubbed the Avventura, making its mark as the most powerful crossover at its launch with a price tag of INR 9.95 lakh in 2015. Fiat has since fine-tuned the Abarth Avventura’s ride by lowering the ground clearance by 20mm and stiffening the suspension, enhancing its agility and handling to match its increased power. With disc brakes on all four wheels, 16-inch alloy wheels, and sporty interior tweaks including leather-upholstered seats, this vehicle is dressed to impress both inside and out.

The Abarth Avventura isn’t just a car; it’s a statement on wheels, flaunting its Abarth badges and sporty demeanor as it continues to be developed in India. Whether you’re navigating urban jungles or cruising on highways, this car is a testament to the idea that great things indeed come in small packages.
